Back to SearchHartbeespoortJob DescriptionSovereign, a national supplier of quality chicken products to various markets with operations in five provinces, is seeking a thorough and committed individual for the position of a Warehouse Shift Leader, for its Warehouse operations in the Commercial division. The job holder will be responsible for loading and picking orders according to the daily plan and coordinating trucks accordingly. This position reports to the Warehouse and Transport Manager and carries the TASK grade of T09. The successful candidate must be in possession of minimum NQF level 5 qualification in Logistics Management or relevant qualification. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Warehousing is a requirement preferably large-scale warehouse operation.ResponsibilitiesMaintain ex-factory stock movement to within the specified time and temperature standards.Maintain the cold chain with Chiller area temps between -2 and + 4 degrees.Reconcile fresh orders received to what has been captured on the information systems.Prepare the pick slips for the fresh orders.Prepare the identification stickers by store to ensure accurate customer deliveries.Coordinate vehicle availability with the Transport Provider to do the deliveries.Daily communication with Customers on progress of deliveries.Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure that no stock shortages occur.Do daily stock counts using the information systems.QualificationsLeadership competencies.Good knowledge of Warehouse and Distribution methods.Ability to take corrective action.Good communication skills.Computer literacy.Planning and organizational skills.Closing Date: 31 October 2025As Sovereign is an equal opportunity employer, preference will be given to applicants of designated groups, as defined by the Employment Equity Act.Apply
