IT Support Specialist – Banking Sector (Hybrid, Gauteng)Company: BlueCloud (on-site with leading banking client)Location: Gauteng, South Africa – Hybrid work setupAbout the Role BlueCloud is looking for a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team supporting a major banking client in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in maintaining and troubleshooting enterprise-grade application environments, ensuring reliability and performance across modern DevOps tools and infrastructure components.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support and maintenance for enterprise applications and middleware.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across environments using modern CI/CD and containerization platforms.Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployment pipelines and uptime.Manage and maintain configuration of core components (e.g., application servers, message queues, and caches).Implement and follow IT governance, change control, and incident management best practices.Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing.Core Technology StackRepositories & CI/CD: Artifactory, GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, DockerMessaging & Streaming: RabbitMQ, Kafka, AuditMQCaching & Secrets Management: Redis, VaultApplication Servers: WildFly, Apache Tomcat, JBossWeb Servers: Nginx, ApacheSecurity & Identity: KeycloakContainer Orchestration: KubernetesQualifications & Experience3–5 years’ experience in IT support, systems administration, or DevOps environments.Experience supporting Java-based application platforms (e.g., WildFly, Tomcat, JBoss).Familiarity with cloud or hybrid environments preferred (AWS, Azure, or on-prem cloud).Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and container management.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.Nice to HaveExposure to financial services or regulated enterprise environments.Relevant certifications (Linux+, RHCSA, AWS, Kubernetes, or similar).Why Join BlueCloud Be part of a fast-growing cloud and infrastructure services firm driving digital transformation across South Africa’s banking and telecom sectors.
