With over 500+ clients, we are the leading provider of raffle, sweepstakes and lottery solutions in the world.Would you like to make charitable giving more accessible and help to make a difference in the world? We are looking for a forward-thinking and technically inclined individual to create promotional designs and execute on responsive website templates using WordPress and Shopify. This role will report into our Director of Client Services and be based in our Toronto office.We are actively casting a wide net across North America and the UK to increase revenue for Charities and Foundations for the social good of all. Work hard, play hard, and overall have a lot of fun in our downtown Toronto, harbor front office. We look forward to reviewing your credentials and getting to know more about your experience!About the Role:Ascend is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Website Operations Intern who is passionate about using their development and design skills to support meaningful, socially impactful projects. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience maintaining and updating client websites, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and learning real-world workflows in web development and design.What You’ll Learn and Work On:· Assist with publishing and maintaining websites using WordPress, Shopify, and Payload.· Perform content updates and design tweaks as requested by clients.· Support version updates and troubleshoot functionality issues.· Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure consistent, high-quality work.· Manage daily tasks using Notion and other project management tools.· Contribute ideas to improve workflow and team efficiency.Preferred Skills & Interests:· Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.· Familiarity with WordPress. Shopify or Payload experience is a plus.· Experience using design tools like Figma, Canva, or Photoshop.· Comfort using productivity tools such as Slack, Teams, Outlook, and Notion.· Interest in learning about UI/UX principles and web accessibility.· A desire to develop professionally and grow as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team.Who You Are:· A team player with a “jump in and help” attitude.· Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership over your work.· Curious and eager to learn, open to feedback and new challenges.· A clear communicator who can organize tasks effectively.· Someone with a passion for web development and a portfolio (school or personal projects welcome).Bonus Points If You:· Have experience with a code editor· Can demonstrate understanding of design principles and brand guidelines.
