Founded in 1997, the school enters candidates for the Cambridge Examinations that are set externally and recognised worldwide.The following opportunity is available: PRE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER FOR 2026.ResponsibilitiesCaring and Nurturing EnvironmentBuild warm, trusting relationships with each child, promoting a sense of belonging and emotional security.Respond with sensitivity and patience to the needs of toddlers, offering comfort, encouragement, and guidance.Maintain a calm, caring, and positive classroom tone at all times.Establish gentle but firm boundaries that promote respect, safety, and cooperation.Teaching and LearningPlan and deliver age-appropriate activities and play areas that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.Encourage exploration through sensory play, music, movement, art, and storytelling.Support children in developing early communication, fine and large motor, and self-help skills.Observe and assess children’s progress and development, recording observations and identifying areas of need.Share progress and milestones with parents during parent meetings and through written reports twice a year.Classroom Management and SafetyMaintain a safe, hygienic, and organised classroom and playground environment suitable for two- and three-year-olds.Supervise children at all times, ensuring their well-being and safety indoors and outdoors.Model and encourage positive social interactions and conflict resolution.Guide children gently but firmly, ensuring boundaries are clear and consistently upheld.Communication and CollaborationCommunicate regularly and positively with parents to build trust and partnership in supporting each child’s growth.Work collaboratively with colleagues and the Head of Junior School.Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events as required.Participate in extra-mural and sporting activities of the wider school community.Professional ConductUphold the ethos and values of Wembley College in all interactions.Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professionalism at all times.Participate in continuous professional development and remain current in early childhood education best practices.Assist in school functions, fundraising, and community events as required.RequirementsREQUIREMENTS: An appropriate university degree or professional qualification. At least 2 to 5 years of teaching experience in the preschool environment. SACE registration. An excellent communicator who builds positive relationships with parents, staff, and children. Willingness to contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme. A team player who is passionate about education and willing to immerse themselves in school life.
