The Assistant General Manager serves as a role model for the rest of the staff as a leader in hospitality skills and guest service. Your role is to make every guest’s experience an amazing one and no request goes unheeded. Your responsibilities will include:
Lead, develop, train, and motivate staff to provide the highest level of guest serviceEnsure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs are followed and completed in a timely basisMonitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable mannerControl cash and all other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and proceduresInvestigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodationsSchedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantityMonitor budgets and payroll records and review financial transactions to ensure that expenditures are authorized and budgetedOrganize and direct training programs, resolve personnel problems, make hiring and termination decisions, and evaluate employee performanceTrain, coach, and hold team accountable to all SOP’s to ensure consistent operations Your Qualifications:
Minimum 3+ years as an Assistant General Manager for a high volume ($8M+) upscale full-service casual restaurantPassionate about hospitality, guest service, and team development through mentorship and feedbackProficient in financial management, including P&L oversight and understanding of business operationsSkilled in labor cost control and staff scheduling to align with business needsExperienced in managing systems and upholding operational standards EOE – EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
