We are currently seeking a passionate Fashion Designer & Product Developer to utilise different skills across designing, planning and production. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced designer to take ownership of the product lifecycle, from concept to delivery, while working in a high performing, fashion-forward environment. Opportunity for career progression available and encouraged within the team.The position is available for full time only at our Surry Hills showroom office in the heart of the fashion wholesale industry, conveniently located 3 minute walk from Central Station.What We Offer:$80k-$100k annual base salary plus Superannuation (based on experience)Yearly salary reviewGenerous bonus structure: Weekly, monthly & annual bonus incentivesGifted monthly wardrobe pieces & employee discount Every Friday catered team lunchRegular dinner outings & team bonding activitiesand much more!If you would like to find out more about our company, visit us @StyleState on Instagram or our website: www.stylestate.com.auAbout this role:Design styles under one of our in-house labels, transforming trend forecasts and sales insights into commercial bestsellersManage the full product lifecycle: range planning, sampling, fittings, and productionAnalyse customer feedback, past performance, and current trends to refine design decisionsLead seasonal range development, fabric and colour selections, and design exclusive printsWork closely with our China-based team to oversee production and ensure timely deliveryWeekly fittings sessions and document changes based on technical and pattern making knowledgeCoordinate and present tailored ranges for customer meetings and placing ordersTrack floor stock and customer production ordersUpdate release and range plans to align with weekly new arrivalsWhat We’re Looking For:Ability to multi task and be an all-rounderPossess a strong eye for design detail and commercial appealSolid understanding of garment construction, fit processes, and seasonal planningExcellent communication skills, especially when working with overseas teamsProficiency with Adobe Indesign preferredDemonstrate great organisation, planning and time management skillsOrganised, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environmentBrings energy, curiosity, and new ideas to the tableRequirements:2-3 years experience in fashion design, product development or buyingConversational Chinese language skills to communicate with our overseas team (writing not required)If you are ready for an opportunity to genuinely grow in your career in a place that encourages you to take ownership of your role, then this is for you!
