We are expert in a wide range of industries, including Life Sciences and healthcare, retail and consumer, financial services, industrials, energy and transportation.PositionThe Accounts Assistant – UK & Switzerland is a role supporting the London and Switzerland finance function, in their day-to-day management and statutory reporting.Reporting to the Finance Manager – UK & Switzerland, your responsibilities may include journal posting, helping with management accounts and producing meaningful analysis. You will support the Finance Manager – UK & Switzerland and Financial Accountant – UK & Switzerland to produce detailed reconciliations for management accounts and in their day to day tasks.This role is part of a highly motivated team who enjoy using data and numbers to generate insights and improve our business. The successful candidate will be comfortable communicating with colleagues of all levels across all functions.ResponsibilitiesWork with the Financial Manager and Accountant in drafting Management Accounts with accompanying month end analysis. Dealing with related queries during the month end close process, including reconciling accounts Supporting the year-end financial statement preparation and statutory audit Preparing accounting entries such as journals Managing transactional tasks such as employee expenses, supplier invoices, etc. with support from the Shared Service Centre (SSC) Support the SSC team in allocating payments and ensuring correct coding. Creating sales orders and case codes in SAP The Successful CandidateExperience in Finance/Accounting in similar previous roles, (industry or accounts payable experience a plus) UK or Switzerland professional services experience Advanced skills in Excel Prior experience with an ERP system (SAP preferred) Excellent written and verbal skills in Business English (Business German would be a plus but not a requirement) A fast-paced learner who can hit the ground running A track record of working under pressure to meet tight reporting deadlines Experience and enthusiasm for team management and development Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks QualificationsUndergraduate degree in Accounting and/or related discipline Evidence of ongoing study and continuous personnel development Diversity and inclusion at L.E.K.Here at L.E.K., we appreciate the value of a diverse and inclusive workforce and are committed to a culture that is inclusive and accepting of all people.
