Role OverviewWe are looking for a packaging machine operator to join our team in St. Louis, MO. In this position, you will be responsible for operating and adjusting machinery, as well as inspecting and releasing completed products. This is a 12 hour shift.

QualificationsESSENTIAL DUTIESOperate and adjust several different types of automated packaging equipment as requiredAudit production quality by utilizing in process inspections and visual observationsProperly complete all production, quality inspection, and OEE paperworkMaintain a high level of quality by operating within the company quality system, as well as FDA and ISO regulationsPerform preventative maintenance procedures on machineryUtilize inventory management system to locate materialsMaintain inventory lot tracking while operating in a FIFO mannerCarry out lean manufacturing initiatives including Kanban systemParticipate in continuous improvement processesFollow all safety and good housekeeping procedures to maintain a safe work environmentRELATED DUTIESPerforms other duties, as assignedMinimum QualificationsTraining and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED, preferred.

Minimum 1-2 years of machine operationPossess mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn operation of machineryKnowledge of good manufacturing practicesPossess attention to detailMust be able to take direction and work well within a teamMust be adaptable and able to work on a variety of tasks as requiredMust be able to work standing for 12 hours and lift up to 50 lbsRegular, consistent attendance is an absolute mustKnowledge, Abilities And SkillsKnowledge of manufacturing in a regulated environment (FDA, ISO, etc.

)Ability to work under pressure and time constraintsAbility to be a self-starter, follow-through and to manage multiple tasks along with a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing goalsAbility to work in a team environmentAble to perform mathematical calculationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills to all levels of the organizationPhysical RequirementsThe position requires the ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk frequently during the shift. The position may require working extended hours or on weekends as needed. Incumbent may need to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
