This position is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Compliance Plan by organizing activities that enable compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. The role manages the policy and procedure review process under the direction of the Compliance Officer and completes activities that ensure compliance with external and oversight audits. Receives and catalogs requests for corporate policy reviews. Partners with business owners to customize policy content to meet regulatory requirements. Communicates Policy and Procedure updates to oversight agencies and coordinates final approvals. Organizes the production and review of materials in relation to external audits and reviews.
Conducts compliance related verification activities to ensure that corrective actions were completed. Manages the Compliance Department’s administrative duties (e. g. , preparing reports, form development, making copies). Collects and reports data for compliance reports. Supports the investigation of Unauthorized Disclosures by gathering information and fulfilling reporting obligations. Completes the tracking and logging of consent/authorized disclosure (AUD) forms to support HIPAA requirements Completes HIPAA Desktop Audits. Coordinates medical records requests and compiles documentation for any legal actions. Prepares data reports, develops agenda and take minutes for the compliance committee.
Organizes volume of work and develops work-flows for the Compliance department to meet contractual and regulatory requirements. ResponsibilitiesOther Job Requirements5+ years' experience in administrative or coordinator support in a legal or compliance environment. 5+ years' experience in project or program management. Demonstrated expertise in use of the Microsoft Office suite. Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently to prioritize tasks and complete deliverables within specified timelines. Ability to research, obtain and integrate feedback into a written product. Strong writing and proofing skills required ensuring documents meet standards and are accurate.
