BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans expose 'real reason' for Vicky and Kai's shock exit

Strictly Come Dancing viewers have all made the same observation about Vicky Pattison and Kai Widdrington's departure. The pair ended up in the bottom two on Sunday (November 16) night alongside Balvinder Soap and her professional partner Julian Caillon. Judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke all voted to keep Balvinder and Julian following former I'm A Celebrity champion Vicky's stumble. Yet viewers believe Vicky and Kai's track selection doomed their chances as they performed a Jive to Girls Aloud's chart-topping anthem Sound of the Underground. Writing on X, previously Twitter, one viewer commented: "Vicky and Kai were done dirty unfortunately, that song choice just made it so bloody difficult for her to succeed # strictly #StrictlyComeDancing.", reports Wales Online . Another posted: "The song was wrong for the dance, and it cost her.#Strictly." A third supporter concurred: "Vicky had a poor song choice which can kill routines #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing." Someone else remarked: "That really was a shocking song choice for a jive, it's like they were having to fight the music the entire time #StrictlyComeDancing." A sixth raged: "How can Vicky have rhythm to a song not appropriate for the dance #Strictly." Discussing her departure, Vicky shared with presenter Tess Daly: "It was so lovely while it lasted, and I've had the nicest time. I knew this week was a difficult one for me, and I tried my hardest as I have every week. "Listen, I didn't think I'd get past week one and I'm really honoured to have shared this experience with so many amazing people. "Mostly with this fella [Kai] right here. I don't want to sound too cheesy but [to Kai] you've been the best partner a girl can ask for. "I'm so sorry I didn't get you to Blackpool but I feel like I've won just by having you as my partner and I'm so grateful. I'll miss everybody. I enjoyed it loads more than I thought I was going to. "And I know I let my nerves get in the way – Shirley, you are right - and I will proper beat myself up over that. But I've never danced before sober and here I am – sober as a judge!". Strictly Come Dancing's Blackpool Specials airs next weekend on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 6.35pm on Saturday and 7:15pm on Sunday
