Chirag Paswan's LJP-RV would have went solo in Bihar if not for THIS BJP's leader: Report

Chirag Paswan's negotiation skills were hailed by most after his Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) was allotted 29 seats by the NDA during the seat-sharing talks for the Bihar Assembly Polls 2025. BIHAR RESULTS DATA | Bihar assembly election results 2025: Winners and losers from all LJP (Ram Vilas) seats as Chirag Paswan improves NDA foothold LJP (RV) getting close to thirty seats while other smaller NDA allies including Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha and Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) being limited to single-digit seats was analysed from multiple angles by Bihar's political experts. While some claimed it showed how much the BJP leadership respects and trusts the 43-year-old leader and his growing influence in the state, some others pointed out that the NDA was not willing to take any chance of him walking out of the alliance again. Yet some others said that the Union Minister of Food Processing Industries is being groomed by the BJP as their next key ally in the state for the post-Nitish Kumar era. LJP did not disappoint its alliance partners at all and won 19 seats — only six less than the state's main opposition party RJD. The strong performance had placed his party in a position to seek a Deputy Chief Minister's post, some political analysts say. Whether Nitish Kumar agrees to such an arrangement remains uncertain, though LJP (RV) MLAs are likely to secure ministerial berths.
