From Hamilton rink to TD Coliseum, fans get 'high-end experience'

Maximum capacity at the former hockey rink is 19,000 (for boxing or MMA), but Paul Young, of the developer, Oak View Group, said a typical concert will hold between 13,000 and 14,000 fans. “The seating capacity is virtually unchanged,” said Young, while inside the 156-seat House of Peroni — one of the Coliseum’s five private clubs that overlooks the floor and the stage. “Every seat has been replaced, things have been slightly maneuvered around. The only seats that are different are in the premium areas like the clubs and suites,” he added. “For the general public to come here, they’re going to see vast improvements on every level whether that’s more space to move around, more restrooms to get to and to get back to your seat faster, more drinks and more food.”
