Paddy Pimblett and Darren Watkins Jr., popularly known as IShowSpeed, seem to share chaotic chemistry. The pair recently linked up during UFC Qatar fight week, sparking a heated debate over soccer greats Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.Speed is one of the most popular content creators in the world, known for his energetic and often chaotic streams. Furthermore, he is a massive Ronaldo and Manchester United fan, and was not having it when 'The Baddy' claimed that Messi was the better player. In a YouTube video posted by Pimblett, the pair can be seen grabbing what appears to be a quick lunch before checking out some soccer memorabilia in the restaurant. As a picture of Messi caught his eye, Watkins Jr. quickly asked the UFC star whether he was a fan of the Argentine legend. 'The Baddy' answered:"He's better than Ronaldo. He's the GOAT... He has won the World Cup, bro."Disappointed by the response, the streamer joked that they needed to fight now and launched a scathing accusation against the Scouser:"You don't watch football [soccer], bro, you don't watch football."Check out Paddy Pimblett and IShowSpeed's linkup below:The MMA fighter clapped back, saying he watches soccer every weekend and calling out Speed for his lack of knowledge - noting that he didn't even know who Steven Gerrard was.For context, Gerrard's Liverpool shared a heated rivalry with Manchester United.Speed returned fire, claiming he could beat Pimblett in soccer. True to form, the UFC star shot back, joking that the only thing the streamer could beat him in was a foot race, and even then, a couple of leg kicks would end those chances.Arman Tsarukyan theorizes why Paddy Pimblett was granted an interim title shotPaddy Pimblett is set to face Justin Gaethje for the interim UFC lightweight title at UFC 324 in January. Once again snubbed for championship gold despite being the No.1 contender, Arman Tsarukyan has now offered his theory on why the promotion chose this route.According to 'Ahalkalakets', the UFC sees Pimblett as a potential superstar and is giving him tailor-made matchups until he is a big enough name to slot him into an undisputed title fight. Speaking to ESPN MMA, Tsarukyan said:"They already did [try to put him against Ilia Topuria]. [Now] They have given him an easier [fight] because they know he is going to lose to Ilia. Better to do an interim title and make him bigger, because if he has no title, [and] he is fighting for the title, he is not that big... UFC thinks he's going to be a champion and [when he] fights for the real belt with Ilia, that time he's going to be a superstar and they can sell more pay-per-view and whatever they do, and real fighters like me [are] just watching and waiting."
