An eyewitness told about the moment after two National Guard soldiers were shot on Wednesday (November 26) near the White House in what officials described as a targeted attack, and the suspect was in custody after suffering gunshot wounds during the incident. Michael Ryan, from Washington, D.C., told Reuters, “I walked up and I saw that they had a person pinned on the ground yelling at them to stay down. And there was broken glass at the bus stop, and then they moved like it was some sort of construction vehicle or something along those lines, and they moved the vehicle and that's when we saw two National Guards on the ground and one they were trying to resuscitate.”
