The Dolphins only have two wins, but one Miami defender will take the field with three when they host the Ravens on Thursday Night Football

Miami Dolphins captain and starting linebacker Jordyn Brooks has one more win than the rest of the squad thanks to the news today that Brooks has won the AFC's Defensive Player of the Week honors for his performance against the Falcons in Week 8. The decision is considered a bit of an upset given that Brooks was contending against Cleveland Browns pass rusher Myles Garrett — who logged five sacks in a loss to the New England Patriots this past Sunday. As it turns out, getting a win and a dominant team performance was plenty to help tip the scales. He's posted 228 total tackles in 25 games so far as a member of the Dolphins, plus 5.5 sacks and 17 tackles for loss. Against the Falcons, Brooks finished with 10 combined tackles, a sack, three tackles for loss and an additional quarterback hit. Miami will need a lot more production from Brooks tomorrow night if the team is going to successfully bottle up Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and company to score a second consecutive win.
