U.S Stock Market prediction: How will S&P 500, Nasdaq, Dow Jones perform on Monday?

U.S Stock market indexes S&P 500, Nasdaq, Dow Jones will look to continue the bullish momentum but President Donald Trump's meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping will the pivotal driving factor as Wall Street opens for regular trading on Monday. A persistent U.S. government shutdown further unsettles the backdrop for investors Stocks have weathered increased volatility this month, with the S&P 500 posting an all-time closing high on Friday, after a 36 per cent climb since its low for the year in April. The benchmark index is up over 15 per cent year-to-date.Given that the market has rallied for several months without a particularly significant decline, equities could remain choppy in the days ahead, said Chris Fasciano, chief market strategist at Commonwealth Financial Network."What we need to see is continued earnings beats and corporate America talking positively about the economy," Fasciano said. "When people start to get nervous, it's when they see consumer confidence coming down, or business confidence coming down."Third-quarter earnings season is off to a solid start overall, despite disappointments this week from companies such as streamer Netflix and chipmaker Texas Instruments .U.S. stocks hit records on Friday after an update on inflation came in a bit less painful than feared. The S&P 500 rose 0.8 per cent and topped its prior all-time high, which was set earlier this month. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rallied 472 points, or 1 per cent, and the Nasdaq composite climbed 1.1 per cent. Both also set records. All told, the S&P 500 rose 53.25 points to 6,791.69.
