Roger Federer, Mary Carillo named to tennis Hall of Fame

(Photo credit: Susan Mullane-Imagn Images) The first member of the Big Three is headed to the International Tennis Hall of Fame. The hall announced Wednesday that Roger Federer will be enshrined in August in ceremonies in Newport, R.I. He learned the news at Swiss Tennis, where he played as a youngster, as he watched more than 20 Hall of Fame members welcome him in a video call. 'You really put tennis on a different map,' retired great Boris Becker told Federer. 'Whenever you started winning, people who had nothing to do with tennis liked tennis. It was because of you. So you're not only one of the best players in tennis of all time, you're the most important sportsman of all time.'Sportscaster and journalist Mary Carillo also will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. She was elected in the contributor category for her impact on the game. Federer, 44, was the first man to win reach 20 singles titles in majors and only one of eight men to record a career Grand Slam. He won 103 total titles, including eight at Wimbledon, six at the Australian Open, five at the U.S. Open and a lone French Open. He was ranked No. 1 in the world for 310 total weeks, including a record 237 consecutive weeks. He received the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award 13 times. 'It's a tremendous honor to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame and to stand alongside so many of the game's great champions,' Federer said in a Hall of Fame news release. 'Throughout my career, I've always valued the history of tennis and the example set by those who came before me. It was very special to receive the news at Swiss Tennis, surrounded by the next generation of players -- the place where my own journey first began. To be recognized in this way by the sport and by my peers is deeply humbling. I look forward to visiting Newport next August to celebrate this special moment with the tennis community.' He retired in 2022. His 20 major titles rank third among men behind his contemporaries, Novak Djokovic (24) and Rafael Nadal (22), fellow Big Three members who also are Hall of Fame-bound. Carillo, 68, was notified of her election in a video call with Hall of Fame president Patrick McEnroe and inductee John McEnroe. She has joined the brothers on tennis broadcasts for years, but also grew up playing tennis in the same circle with them in New York. She was inducted into the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2018, recognizing her coverage of tennis as well as 16 Olympic Games, six Emmy Awards and three Peabody Awards won for her work as a correspondent on HBO's 'Real Sports.' 'I am deeply honored to be recognized in the company of so many other legends and colleagues of the tennis world,' Carillo said. 'I've been privileged to spend my career sharing the stories of this magnificent game, and if I've opened any doors along the way, it will make this day in August even more meaningful.' Induction weekend is set for Aug. 27-29. The Hall of Fame includes 270 inductees from 28 countries. --Field Level Media

BurCell(R) Technologies and eFACTOR3 Partner to Advance Waste-to-Fuel Solutions

Strategic Alliance Combines Innovative Material Processing with Renewable Energy Technology to Transform Municipal Solid Waste into Valuable Resources KENNESAW, GEORGIA / ACCESS Newswire / November 19, 2025 / BurCell® Technologies, a leader in sustainable waste management and renewable energy solutions, today announced a strategic partnership with eFACTOR3, a premier supplier of custom recycling equipment and integrated systems. This collaboration combines eFACTOR3's advanced waste processing technologies with BurCell's proprietary system to create a comprehensive solution that converts municipal solid waste into renewable fuels. The partnership leverages eFACTOR3's integrated equipment system, featuring the M&J PreShred 4000M mobile shredder, Ecostar Hextra 70003F screening system, and Westeria AirBasic windsifter, to prepare municipal solid waste for seamless integration with the BurCell® System. This combined approach enables waste management facilities to recover over 90% of valuable organics from mixed waste streams and convert them into renewable natural gas and renewable solid fuel. 'Municipalities need real, scalable alternatives to landfilling,' said Ron Barmore, CEO of BurCell® Technologies. 'The combination of eFactor3's advanced front-end processing systems and our BurCell® System delivers exactly that, a fully integrated solution that recovers valuable organics, converts them into renewable fuels, and drives down transfer and disposal costs. Together, we're proving that resource recovery from municipal solid waste can be both economically and environmentally sustainable.' Once processed through eFACTOR3's integrated system, the material is fed directly into BurCell's low-temperature vacuum-assisted pretreatment process, which produces a homogeneous organic feedstock. This enhanced feedstock digests more quickly and thoroughly than traditionally processed materials, resulting in sustained and predictable biogas generation. The BurCell® System can divert up to 75% of processed waste from landfills while maximizing resource recovery. 'The future of waste management lies in intelligent integration,' said Hartmut Bendfeldt, President and Founder of eFACTOR3. 'Our collaboration with BurCell brings together proven mechanical processing and innovative waste-to-fuel conversion, showing how technology, when thoughtfully combined, can redefine what's possible for municipal resource recovery.' With over 2,600 landfills across the United States reaching capacity and recycling programs facing cancellations, innovative integrated solutions have become essential infrastructure for municipalities. This partnership provides communities with a cost-effective solution that reduces disposal costs by up to 40% while generating renewable energy and recovering recyclable materials. The collaboration between BurCell® Technologies and eFACTOR3 represents a significant advancement in waste-to-energy infrastructure, proving that with the right combination of technologies, waste can be transformed into a valuable commodity rather than an environmental challenge. Ashes: From Smith to Lyon, top Australian stars on milestone hunt

Perth [Australia], November 19 (ANI): Several Australian stars, including Steve Smith and Nathan Lyon, have milestones to chase and charts to climb as they take on England in their first Ashes Test at Optus Stadium in Perth from Friday onwards. Smith, Lyon, Travis Head, Marnus Labuschagne, Usman Khawaja and Mitchell Starc are on a milestone hunt ahead of the first Test. Smith, who is captaining the Aussies in the Perth Test, has plenty of records to chase, be it the 4,000 Ashes runs, 11,000 Test runs and 18,000 international runs. As someone who saves his best for the Ashes, it would not be surprising if Smith gets to all these milestones within this five-match series. In 37 Ashes Tests, Smith has made 3,417 runs at an average of 56.01, with 12 centuries and 13 fifties in 66 innings and a best score of 239. He is the third-highest Ashes run-getter of all time, behind Australia's Don Bradman (5,028 runs in 37 Tests with 19 centuries) and England's Jack Hobbs (3,636 runs in 41 Tests with 12 centuries), and 583 runs could take him to the 4,000 Ashes run-mark. The star batter is also Australia's fourth-highest run-getter in Tests, with 10,477 runs in 119 Tests and 212 innings at an average of 56.02, with 36 centuries and 43 fifties. He needs 423 runs to reach the 11,000 run mark and become just the third Aussie to do so after Ricky Ponting (13,378 runs in 168 Tests) and Allan Border (11,174 runs in 156 Tests). Currently at the fifth spot in Australia's all-time run-getters across all three formats, Smith will need 629 runs to crack the 18,000 run mark, having made 17,371 runs at an average of 47.59 in 356 matches, with 48 centuries and 83 fifties in 421 innings. Ponting is Australia's top run-getter with 27,368 runs in 559 matches with 70 centuries. Lyon, the side's premier spinner, is just eight wickets away from being only the fifth Aussie and their second spinner to join 600 international wickets. He is currently at 592 scalps in 170 matches at an average of 30.95, with best figures of 8/50, 24 fifers and five ten-wicket hauls. The veteran spinner is just one wicket away from becoming Australia's second-highest wicket-taker in Tests, currently at 562 runs in 139 matches at an average of 30.14, with 24 fifers and five fifties. Shane Warne (708 wickets in 145 matches) is the top wicket-taker for Australia in Tests. Also, the left-hander Travis Head is 37 runs away from 4,000 Test runs, having made 3,963 runs in 60 Tests and 101 innings at an average of 41.71, including nine centuries and 20 fifties and best score of 175. The milestones of 5,000 Test runs and 7,000 international runs could also come for Marnus if he continues performing the same way he did in recent domestic outings for Queensland across the Sheffield Shield and One-Day Cup. In 58 Tests, Labuschagne has scored 4,435 runs at an average of 46.19, with 11 centuries and 23 fifties in 104 innings. He needs 565 runs to reach this landmark. He also needs 692 runs to reach the 7,000 international run mark, with 6,308 runs in 125 matches and 163 innings, at an average of 13 centuries and 35 fifties, and a best score of 215. Opener Usman Khawaja, who has not been in his best form this year, needs 152 runs to reach 8,000 international runs. So far in 133 matches and 200 innings, he has scored 7,848 runs at an average of 42.65, with 18 centuries and 40 fifties and a best score of 232. His best has come in Test cricket, having made 6,053 runs in 84 matches and 152 innings at an average of 43.86, with 16 centuries and 27 fifties. Also, pacer Starc is three wickets away from completing 100 Ashes wickets. In 22 Ashes Tests since his series debut in 2013, he has taken 97 wickets at an average of 27.37, with best figures of 6/111, four five-wicket hauls to his name. Australia's squad for the first Ashes Test: Steve Smith (captain), Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Brendan Doggett, Cameron Green, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Michael Neser, Mitchell Starc, Jake Weatherald, Beau Webster. Foreign firms deepen integration into China's green manufacturing drive

SHENYANG, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- The recent production of Michelin's 100 millionth passenger tire at its Shenyang plant in northeast China's Liaoning Province underscores the deepening synergy between foreign enterprises and the country's manufacturing sector, particularly in advancing the green transition. This milestone marks three decades of Michelin's growth in China, which has become the company's largest and most advanced production base worldwide. The heavier weight and instant torque of electric vehicles (EVs) place greater demands on tires, making them crucial for overall performance and battery efficiency. Michelin's newly launched series is specifically designed for EVs, focusing on energy efficiency, safety and noise reduction through optimized tread patterns and advanced materials. "As new energy vehicles (NEVs) and smart driving are rapidly accepted, tires will be closely tied to the vehicle's overall performance, battery range, and driving experience. Users now demand not just safety but also greater energy efficiency, quietness and intelligence," said Matthew Ye, president and CEO of Michelin Greater China & Mongolia. Michelin currently holds over 30 percent of China's high-end NEV tire market and is partnered with numerous local automakers. China's NEV output has led globally for a decade, supported by innovation and a robust industrial chain. Michelin has invested over 12.5 billion yuan (about 1.76 billion U.S. dollars) in Shenyang since 2010, enhancing flexible manufacturing to cut order response times from days to just one. Michelin's growth in China is a microcosm of the trend of foreign enterprises integrating into the country's manufacturing ecosystem. In recent years, an increasing number of multinational automakers have positioned China as a key hub in their global industrial strategies, with the booming NEV market continuing to attract further investment and expansion from overseas companies. In Shanghai, Tesla's first energy storage super factory project outside the United States has officially commenced production; BMW Group's largest global production base is in Shenyang, where its "Neue Klasse" models will roll off the production line in 2026, and Volkswagen Group has established its largest R&D center outside German headquarters in China, focusing on intelligent connected vehicle R&D. Foreign enterprises are increasingly embedding themselves in China's local industrial chain, promoting the two-way flow of technology, capital, and innovation elements. "Higher environmental standards, faster tech updates, and fierce global competition bring challenges but also broader cooperation space," Ye said, expressing confidence in China's high-end manufacturing future.

NBA roundup: LeBron James makes season debut in Lakers' win

(Photo credit: Kirby Lee-Imagn Images) Luka Doncic scored 37 points with 10 assists and LeBron James added 11 points in 30 minutes of his season debut as the Los Angeles Lakers rallied for a 140-126 victory over the visiting Utah Jazz on Tuesday. After missing the first 14 games of the season because of sciatica on his right side, James took the court to become the first player in NBA history to play in 23 consecutive seasons. Austin Reaves scored 26 points, Deandre Ayton added 20 points with 14 rebounds and Jake LaRavia had 16 points as Los Angeles won its third consecutive game. Keyonte George scored 34 points and Lauri Markkanen added 31 for the Jazz, who lost for the fifth time in their past seven games. Svi Mykhailiuk and Ace Bailey each scored 13 points and Jusuf Nurkic added 10 points with 10 rebounds in Utah's only road contest in a stretch of seven games. Magic 121, Warriors 113 Desmond Bane had a team-high 23 points, Anthony Black led a strong bench performance with a season-best 21 and Orlando took advantage of a road-weary Golden State team to claim a home win. Franz Wagner chipped in with 18 points and Wendell Carter Jr. logged a double-double with 17 points and a game-high 12 rebounds for the Magic, who won for the fourth time in their last five games. Stephen Curry poured in a game-high 34 points and Jimmy Butler III scored 33 for the Warriors, who were playing their fifth road game in eight days, with a trip-ending sixth contest looming Wednesday night at Miami. Pistons 120, Hawks 112 Cade Cunningham returned from a three-game absence and posted a double-double to help visiting Detroit to a victory over Atlanta, extending its NBA-best winning streak to 11 games. Cunningham, who missed time with a left hip contusion, had 25 points, 10 assists and six rebounds as the Pistons ended Atlanta's five-game winning streak. It was Cunningham's fifth straight game with a double-double and eighth of the season. Detroit got 24 points and eight rebounds from Jalen Duren, 14 points apiece from Duncan Robinson and Daniss Jenkins and 13 points and nine rebounds from Isaiah Stewart. The winning streak is the Pistons' longest since an 11-game run in 2007-08. Spurs 111, Grizzlies 101 De'Aaron Fox scored 26 points and Harrison Barnes added 23 that included seven straight points in the final, decisive stretch as short-handed San Antonio ran past visiting Memphis. Both teams were without superstar players as San Antonio was missing Victor Wembanyama (strained calf) and Stephon Castle (strained hip flexor), and the Grizzlies were missing Ja Morant (sprained ankle). Keldon Johnson contributed 18 points for San Antonio while Devin Vassell and Kelly Olynyk scored 10 points each. Cedric Coward's 19-point, 11-rebound double-double led the Grizzlies, who have dropped five straight games. Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 18 points, Cam Spencer hit for 15 and Vince Williams Jr. produced 14 for Memphis, which also got 11 rebounds from Zach Edey. Celtics 113, Nets 99 Jaylen Brown scored 23 of his 29 points in the second half as Boston did enough in the fourth quarter and moved above .500 for the first time this season with a victory over Brooklyn in New York. The Celtics won their third straight and for the eighth time in 12 games since opening the season with a three-game skid. Payton Pritchard added 22 points and Derrick White contributed 15 for the Celtics, who beat Brooklyn for the 15th time in the past 16 regular-season meetings. Michael Porter Jr. scored 25 points, but the Nets dropped to 0-7 at home and were unable to win consecutive games for the first time this season. Day'Ron Sharpe added 16, Noah Clowney contributed 13 while rookie Egor Demin and Ziaire Williams finished with 12 apiece. Suns 127, Trail Blazers 110 Devin Booker recorded 19 points, five assists and three steals in three quarters of action as Phoenix cruised to a road victory over Portland. Reserve Collin Gillespie made four 3-pointers and also scored 19 points as the Suns won for the sixth time in seven games. Mark Williams had 15 points, backup Oso Ighodaro scored 14 on 6-of-7 shooting and Dillon Brooks added 12 points for Phoenix. Shaedon Sharpe scored 29 points to lead the Trail Blazers, who lost their third straight game and fell for the fifth time in six outings. Deni Avdija tallied 19 points and Caleb Love had 17 off the bench for Portland. --Field Level Media

"Will not accept second-class treatment:" Manickam Tagore alleges discrimination after Centre rejects TN Metro Rail proposals

Chinese man gets life term in UK after admitting to sexual offences California to revoke 17,000 immigrant commercial driver licenses Ukraine faces blackouts as nuclear company corruption scandal erupts US labels four European Antifa groups as global terrorists "Will not accept second-class treatment:" Manickam Tagore alleges discrimination after Centre rejects TN Metro Rail proposals Madurai (Tamil Nadu) [India], November 19 (ANI): Congress leader Manickam Tagore on Tuesday alleged discrimination against Tamil Nadu after the Centre reportedly rejected Metro Rail proposals for Coimbatore and Madurai. In a post on X, Tagore claimed that discrimination against Tamil Nadu seems to be ingrained in the DNA of the BJP-RSS. He further stated that the Central government is using the delay in the 2021 census as a tool to hinder development in the state. Tagore also described the explanation that Madurai and Coimbatore do not meet the '2-million population benchmark' based on the 2011 Census as misleading. He claimed that the postponement of the 2021 Census has resulted in Tamil Nadu cities not receiving adequate funding, development projects, and infrastructure. 'The Union Government's rejection of Metro Rail proposals for Coimbatore and Madurai is outrageous and exposes, yet again, that discrimination against Tamil Nadu is embedded in the DNA of the BJP-RSS. The excuse given -- that these cities do not meet the '2-million population' benchmark as per the 2011 Census -- is not only absurd but also deliberately misleading. Why is India still using 2011 population data in 2025? Because Prime Minister Modi has delayed the 2021 Census indefinitely, making India the only major democracy in the world without updated population data for over 14 years. And who suffers because of this delay? Tamil Nadu. Our cities lose funding, development projects, and infrastructure because the Union Government refuses to update the numbers. Coimbatore and Madurai are among India's fastest-growing urban centres. Their current populations are far beyond the old 2011 figures. Yet Tamil Nadu is punished because the Modi government did not conduct the 2021 census -- and now uses that delay as a weapon to block development. This is not administration. This is targeted discrimination,' wrote Tagore. Tagore emphasised that the people of Tamil Nadu will not accept second-class treatment and demanded the immediate approval of the Metro Rail projects for Coimbatore and Madurai. 'We strongly condemn the Union Government's anti-Tamil Nadu approach. The people of Tamil Nadu will not accept second-class treatment. We demand immediate approval of Metro Rail projects for Coimbatore and Madurai using current realities, not outdated data manipulated for political bias,' added Tagore. Earlier, the Centre reportedly rejected proposals for Metro Rail projects in Coimbatore and Madurai, citing that both cities do not meet the required population threshold of 2 million, according to the 2011 census. According to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, the population of Coimbatore is 15.84 lakh and that of Madurai is 15 lakh, based on the 2011 census. Hence, the Metro Rail Policy of 2017 specifies that a city must have a population of at least 2 million to be eligible for planning a Metro Rail project. Approx 5.25 lakh dog bite cases, 28 deaths due to rabies in TN: Chidambaram

Chinese man gets life term in UK after admitting to sexual offences California to revoke 17,000 immigrant commercial driver licenses Ukraine faces blackouts as nuclear company corruption scandal erupts US labels four European Antifa groups as global terrorists Approx 5.25 lakh dog bite cases, 28 deaths due to rabies in TN: Chidambaram New Delhi [India], November 19 (ANI): Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram on Wednesday expressed concern over the alarming rise in the number of dog bites and rabies-related deaths in Tamil Nadu. Quoting data, Chidambaram stated that the state has recorded approximately 5.25 lakh dog bite cases and 28 deaths due to rabies this year alone. In a post on X, Chidambaram said, 'According to a newspaper report, Tamil Nadu recorded 5,25,000 cases of dog bites this year (so far) and 28 deaths due to rabies' Chidambaram emphasised that dog lovers' concerns are valid, but they must also acknowledge the gravity of the situation. He stressed that being a dog lover does not contradict supporting measures like sequestering, sterilising, and vaccinating stray dogs. 'Dog lovers' concerns are valid but they should also consider the alarming data. Being a dog lover is not antagonistic to support sequestering stray dogs, sterilising them, and vaccinating them', the post read. He further stated that the Supreme Court has directed the release of vaccinated dogs back into their habitats, except in certain public places. Chidambaram urged dog lovers to support and aid in implementing the Court's directives, emphasising that these measures are designed to ensure the safety of street users, particularly children, women, and senior citizens. 'The Supreme Court has directed the release of the vaccinated dogs in their old habitats (except in some public places). There is no attempt to eliminate stray dogs. Dog lovers must support and help in the implementation of the Court-directed measures. They are for the safety of street-users especially children, women and senior citizens,' the post concluded. Chidambaram's remark comes following the Supreme Court, while taking into consideration the 'alarming rise of dog bite incidents', ordered all states and Union Territories (UTs) to ensure the removal of all stray dogs from every educational institution, hospital, public sports complexes, bus stands, railway stations, etc. The dogs will not return to their respective areas after the sterilisation. A bench of Justices Vikram Nath, Sandeep Mehta, and NV Anjaria stated that all these institutions and places must be properly fenced to prevent the entry of stray dogs. The stray dogs should not be released to the same spot from which they were picked up, the bench ordered. It also said that permitting their return would 'frustrate the very purpose' of securing such premises and addressing public safety concerns.'They will not be released back in the same area since releasing them back will frustrate the very purpose of the directive of the court,' said the bench. It will be the responsibility of the concerned local government institutions to collect stray dogs from such institutions/areas and transfer them to designated dog shelters after vaccination and sterilisation in accordance with the Animal Birth Control Rules, the bench directed. Chief Secretaries of all states and Union Territories shall ensure strict compliance with the order; otherwise, officers will be held personally responsible, it said. The apex court also stated that a nodal officer must be appointed for the upkeep and surveillance of each such premises, and local municipal authorities and panchayats must conduct periodic inspections for at least three months and report back to the court. It asked the status report to be filed within eight weeks, indicating a mechanism had been developed to carry out directions. The top court also directed the states, UTs, and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and other agencies to remove stray cattle and animals from national and state highways and ensure they are kept in shelters where they will be properly cared for. The apex court took suo motu cognisance of the menace of stray dogs across the country. A three-judge bench on August 22 had modified a two-judge bench's August 11 order, which had directed the rounding up of all stray dogs in the Delhi-NCR and prohibited their release from dog shelters. The August 22 order stated that the stray dogs would be released back to the same area after sterilisation and immunisation, except for those dogs infected with rabies or exhibiting aggressive behaviour. It had also restricted public feeding of stray dogs and directed the MCD to create dedicated feeding spaces in each municipal ward. It had further ordered that persons found feeding the dogs in contravention of its direction shall be liable to be proceeded with under the relevant framework. The apex court had also expanded the scope of the proceedings on the menace of stray dogs and impleaded all states and Union Territories as parties to the case. The August 11 order was limited to the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) area only. The three-judge bench order came in response to pleas seeking a stay of the August 11 order of a two-judge bench, which had directed the removal of all stray dogs from localities in the Delhi-NCR region and their placement in shelter homes. On August 11, the top court ordered that all localities in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and Faridabad should be made free of stray dogs, with no compromise. Also, it made it clear that no captured animal would be released back onto the streets. In the detailed order, it has been clarified that its directive was not driven by 'momentary impulse' rather, it came after thorough and careful deliberation, and the concerned authorities have consistently failed for over two decades to effectively address a serious issue that directly impacts public safety. A bench of Justice JB Pardiwala and R Madadev had said that it has decided to take the matter in its hands becasue of the systematic failure of the authorities over the past two decades to address an issue that strikes at the heart of public safety. It had said that the directions given by it, as a court which functions for the welfare of the people, are both in the interest of humans as well as dogs and 'this is not personal'. It had noted that, according to the data available on the Press Information Bureau's website, there were 37,15,713 reported dog bites in the country, and in Delhi alone, there were 25,201 dog bites. (ANI) Approx 5.25 lakh dog bite cases, 28 deaths due to rabies in TN: Chidambaram Approx 5.25 lakh dog bite cases, 28 deaths due to rabies in TN: Chidambaram 19th November 2025, 14:59 GMT+11 New Delhi [India], November 19 (ANI): Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram on Wednesday expressed concern over the alarming rise in the number of dog bites and rabies-related deaths in Tamil Nadu. According to Police Inspector K Y Vyas, the incident involved one of the accused in the ATS case, registered no. 10/2025, which includes three individuals: Ahmed Mohiuddin Abdul Qadir Jilani, Azad, and Mohammed Salim. All three had been sent to Sabarmati Central Jail after their arrest. Inspector Vyas stated that on Tuesday morning, Jilani was attacked by another inmate, resulting in an injury to his eye. Jail authorities provided immediate medical care before shifting him to the Civil Hospital for further treatment. 'On the morning of 18 November, Jilani was attacked by a fellow inmate, resulting in injury to his eye. He was given medical attention and subsequently sent to Civil Hospital... The primary investigation revealed that Anil Kumar, Shivam Sharma, and one more individual were involved in the attack. Further investigation is ongoing,' Vyas said. Meanwhile, before the Delhi Blast, which occured near the Red Fort, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on November 9 arrested three suspects, namely Ahmed Mohiuddin Syed, Mohd Suhel and Azad, in connection with the conspiracy to plan terrorist attacks across the country, officials said. According to the ATS, two Glock pistols, one Beretta pistol, 30 live cartridges, and 4 litres of castor oil were recovered from their possession. 'Gujarat ATS arrested Dr Ahmed Mohiuddin Syed, Mohd Suhel, and Azad from near Adalaj Toll Plaza. Two Glock pistols, one Beretta pistol, 30 live cartridges, and 4 litres of castor oil were recovered from them. All three were arrested while supplying weapons. They were planning to carry out terrorist attacks in various parts of the country,' Gujarat ATS said in their statement. The three arrested men, including a doctor, were attempting to produce a lethal chemical compound called Ricin. Dr. YK Gupta, the former Chief of the AIIMS National Poison Information Centre, warned that Ricin is extremely toxic and even a small amount, as little as 1 milligram, can be dangerous. He emphasised that there is no specific antidote for Ricin, and it is still considered an agent of biological terrorism today. Scott McTominay's bicycle kick helps Scotland secure World Cup spot

(Photo credit: REUTERS/Russell Cheyne) Scott McTominay scored the dramatic -- and ultimately decisive -- goal on a bicycle kick on Tuesday to secure Scotland's spot in the 2026 World Cup. Less than three minutes into his team's final qualifying match in Group C, the Napoli midfielder took a cross from Ben Gannon-Doak in the middle of three defenders and drilled a right-footed overhead kick past Denmark goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel. It proved to be the decisive goal in a 4-2 win that secured the Scots' first World Cup appearance since 1998. Scotland scored a pair of goals in second-half stoppage time while a man up after Denmark had a player sent off. 'We've been on a journey. I spoke to them about it pre-match, about how this is the opportunity we've waited for. What a night, eh?' Scotland coach Steve Clarke told reporters in Glasgow. 'This was the chance, one game. This was like a playoff final. We put everything on the line. There's always one last step and it's always the hardest.' Spain, Belgium, Switzerland and Austria also clinched spots on the final day of European qualifying. Spain won Group E despite a 2-2 draw at home against Turkey, equaling Italy's 31-match unbeaten streak in competitive matches from 2018-21 in the process. Belgium will play in a fourth consecutive World Cup after breezing past Liechtenstein with a 7-0 win minus star Kevin De Bruyne. Belgium finished ahead of Wales, which had no trouble in a 7-1 home win against Macedonia. Austria advanced from Group H with a 1-1 draw at home against Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Switzerland secured its spot with a 1-1 draw at Kosovo. The 12 group winners each advanced to the World Cup, with the runner-ups heading to the playoffs to be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada from June 11 through July 19. They will vie for spots against the four best-ranked group winners from the 2024-25 Nations League who did not finish first or second in their qualifying group play. Elsewhere, Curacao became the smallest country to ever qualify for a World Cup finals. The Caribbean island nation of 156,115 people that covers 171 square miles held on for a 0-0 draw against Jamaica to finish an unbeaten run (3-0-3) through qualifying. --Field Level Media
