Laura Wolvaardt becomes top-scorer in a Women's World Cup edition

South Africa Women captain Laura Wolvaardt has added another feather to her cap. She is now the highest run-scorer in an ICC Women's ODI World Cup edition. Wolvaardt reached the landmark in the 2025 World Cup final against India in Navi Mumbai with her 40th run. The South African great surpassed Australia's Alyssa Healy, who slammed 509 runs in the 2022 edition. Here's more. Before the final, Wolvaardt had the third-most runs in a Women's World Cup. She was behind Healy (509) and Rachael Haynes (497). Wolvaardt overtook them in her ninth and final appearance of the 2025 World Cup. The star batter hammered 101 runs in the final against India. Wolvaardt finished the 2025 World Cup campaign with a tally of 571 runs. Before this, Wolvaardt hit a record 169-run knock versus England Women in the semis. It was her maiden World Cup ton. Earlier in the contest, the 26-year-old also completed 5,000 runs in WODIs. Wolvaardt hammered her 2nd World Cup ton (50s: 12). This is her 14th fifty-plus score in the global event (24 innings). She steered clear of India legend Mithali Raj (13) for the most fifty-plus scores in this regard. Meanwhile, Wolvaardt also went past Mithali to become the 2nd-highest run-scorer in World Cup history. This was Wolvaardt's 8th century in Women's ODIs as captain. She has now equaled Suzie Bates in terms of hundreds as captain in WODIs. Meg Lanning (11) is the only player with most tons as captain. The star batter hammered her 11th hundred in WODIs. Privremeno ukidanje viza za građane Turske ne sme biti mera kojom bi se donekle ublažio opravdani bes građana već bi u tom periodu trebalo doneti mere kojima bi se trajno sprečio ulazak ekstremista u Crnu Goru, uz očuvanje dobrih odnosa sa Turskom, kaže za Sputnjik lider Ujedinjene Crne Gore Goran Danilović. Odluka Vlade Crne Gore o privremenom ukidanju bezviznog režima za državljane Turske stupila je na snagu u četvrtak, 30. oktobra. Ukidanje viza otvorilo vrata ekstremistima Danilović smatra da prethodno ukidanje viza građanima Turske nije bilo sporno jer je Crna Gora turistička destinacija i moglo bi se reći da živi od građana drugih zemalja koji je posećuju. Problem je na koji su način ranije rađene bezbednosne provere tako da se moglo desiti da „uz pristojne ljude dobijemo neke „organizovane grupe“ koje su sklone ekscesnima i ne poštuju pravila i zakone države u kojoj borave“, dodaje Danilović. „U svakom slučaju, revolt naših građana zbog toga što se u kontinuitetu dešavaju sitni pa onda i krupni prekršaji migranata je bio opravdan i verujem da je probudio državnu vlast kad su shvatili da se odmah mora nešto uraditi. Prosto, niko od nas ne može garantovati, a verujem ni izvršna vlast da sličnih situacija neće biti. Imamo iskustvo iz Zapadne Evrope gde su u problemu zemlje mnogo organizovanije, veće, stabilnije i demokratičnije, makar i pod znacima navoda, i to je prosto neka vrsta strategije koja nije namenjena samo Crnoj Gori nego svim zemljama Zapadnog Balkana, pošto je posao završen u Zapadnoj Evropi ili, kako to kažemo, u zemljama stare demokratije.“ Rigorozne kontrole za ulazak, drastične kazne za nasilnike Danilović najavljuje da će Ujedinjena Crna Gora promeniti svoj osnivački akt i tražiti mnogo odgovorniju politiku prema migracijama jer se Crna Gora mora zaštititi i povesti računa o unutrašnjoj slozi naroda koji je čine i građana koji su suvereni. A to je neophodno učiniti, sprovesti u delo i staviti u akta, naglašava Danilović. „Privremeno suspendovanje bezviznog režima između Crne Gore i Turske je kao što mu i ime kaže – privremeno. Nadam se da niko iz državne vlasti ne misli da time samo umiri bes građana nego da prosto dobije neko vreme u kojem će jasno i precizno saopštiti šta su dalje namere. Moraju biti rigorozne kontrole za sve one koji dolaze da rade u Crnu Goru, bezbednosne pre svega. Premala smo država da bismo tako nehajno tretirali ovaj evropski problem. Građani imaju strah i on je opravdan i izazvan, a sad svi skupa i pored svih strahova za koje nismo krivi sami, nego su nam nametnuti, ne smemo dopustiti da i mi postanemo slični pojedinim migrantskim grupama.“ Video možete pogledati OVDE. Pritom, upozorava Danilović, građani Crne Gore ne smeju uzimati zakon u svoje ruke i primenjivati ga na ulicama već moraju biti mnogo oprezni zbog toga što Crna Gora sebi tu stvar ne sme dopustiti. Odgovorni za nasilje moraju biti drastično kažnjeni, doslovno najureni iz Crne Gore, pa će to biti znak i onima koji dolaze sa namerom da izazivaju incidente da im to neće proći, dodaje naš sagovornik. „Ovde je na ispitu i EU jer morao bi Brisel razumeti strah koji ima Crna Gora zbog toga što ćemo već sutra, bar tako kažu, biti još jedna članica EU. U našem slučaju, jedna od najmanjih i u Uniji i u zajednici evropskih naroda.“ Turska neće uzvratiti jer je veliki investitor Danilović smatra da Turska neće uvesti drastične i recipročne mere prema Crnoj Gori, pošto su Turci veliki investitori u Crnoj Gori. „Trebalo bi da razumemo da je Crna Gora idealna u trenutku kad očekuje priključenje u EU da se operu i biografije, i profit, i biznis bilo koje vrste, te stoga koliko god neko nekog pritiskao i koliko god neko bio važan Crnoj Gori, mora nam biti najvažnija Crna Gora. Mi nemamo privilegiju da imamo ni mnogo ljudi, ni mnogo prostora ali držim da je Crna Gora kao zemlja jedna od najlepših na ovom našem kontinentu i zbog toga je, po mišljenju pojedinih stratega međunarodnih politika lak plen. U svakom slučaju ovde moramo pokazati i čvrstinu i hrabrost i uvesti pravila koja važe jednako za sve.“ I za građane Turske, ali i za ostale koji hoće da se bave biznisom i zapošljavaju radnike iz inostranstva u Crnoj Gori i ako se tu uzmakne – Crna Gora će biti na gubitku, zaključio je Danilović. Ukidanje bezviznog režima za Turke Premijer Crne Gore Milojko Spajić istakao da je odluka o privremenom ukidanju bezviznog režima donesena u cilju očuvanja stabilnosti i bezbednosti, uz napomenu da će Vlada nastaviti da radi na očuvanju dobrih odnosa s Ankarom. Ova privremena mera doneta je sa ciljem da se preispitaju i unaprede mehanizmi kontrole kretanja i boravka turskih državljana. Ukidanje bezviznog režima prethodno je najavio Spajić, nakon što je u Podgorici privedeno gotovo 50 turskih i azerbejdžanskih državljana u cilju provere zakonitosti njihovog boravka.

However, India gained the upper hand when Amanjot caught Wolvaardt on the third attempt, giving Deepti her third wicket. Tryon became Deepti’s fourth victim, and Deepti ran out Khaka for 1 before sealing the win with her fifth wicket, dismissing de Klerk. This victory crowned India as the champions of the world.
