We’re seeking a summer intern to drive best-in-class health and safety programs by addressing improvement efforts related to internal and third-party contractor operations.As a Summer EH&S Intern, you will support the Environmental Health & Safety department in maintaining compliance and promoting a safe and sustainable workplace. You will collaborate with team members on projects, assist with day to day operations, and help drive continuous improvement in EHS practices.How You Will ContributeDuties will include the following, under the manager's supervision:Assist the team with maintaining and improving workplace safety and environmental practicesSupport various projects related to compliance, health and safetyHelp collect, organize, and analyze relevant EH&S informationParticipate in ongoing efforts to enhance safety awareness and cultureCollaborate with colleagues on process improvements and daily activitiesTake on other tasks and responsibilities as neededInternship Development OpportunitiesDevelopment opportunities for a Summer EH&S Intern include:Gaining hands-on experience in environmental health and safety practicesBuilding knowledge of regulations and compliance standardsDeveloping analytical and problem-solving skillsEnhancing communication and teamwork abilitiesLearning from experienced EH&S professionalsExposure to sustainability initiatives and workplace improvement projectsExpanding your professional networkJob RequirementsThis internship is an onsite position; candidates must be able to work in person at our facility.Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, Technology or other related fieldsDemonstrate an understanding of concepts in basic regulatory compliance, general safety programs and injury prevention requirementsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteInternship EligibilityMust be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (May 26th-August 14th or June 15th- August 21st) The intern must be able to commit to one of these time framesAble to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates  Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program Program HighlightsHands-on experience with real projects and responsibilities Dedicated mentorship program pairing interns with experienced professionals Networking opportunities with industry professionals and fellow interns Internship events focused on professional and skills development  Exposure to multiple business areas or departments within a Pharmaceutical Organization Applications will be accepted between November 7th- November30thTakeda Compensation And Benefits SummaryWe understand compensation may bean important factor as you consider an internship opportunity.
