Job SummaryThis hands-on leadership role involves overseeing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring safe and efficient vessel operations.ResponsibilitiesOversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all propulsion, auxiliary, and electrical systems onboard.Lead the engineering team, assigning tasks, mentoring junior crew, and ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance protocols.Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on marine diesel engines, generators, pumps, hydraulics, HVAC, and other vessel systems.Monitor fuel, oil, water, and other critical fluid levels, ensuring proper operation and documentation.Maintain the vessel’s Planned Maintenance System (PMS), updating logs and reports in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.Collaborate with the captain and operations team to ensure vessel readiness and mission success.Conduct safety drills, participate in emergency response procedures, and support compliance with ISM and safety management systems.Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for vessel maintenance and repair.RequirementsResumeMMCUSCG MedicalTWICPassport
