Additionally, to control and coordinate the distribution and warehouse processes within the Distribution Centre, planning and organizing resources to meet customer requirements while exceeding service levels.Key Responsibilities To work in conjunction with managers and to monitor, develop subordinates To provide leadership, control and manager the DHL logistics depot To control and utilize optimum levels the resources available to provide clients with an excellent service at the lowest cost Responsible for integrity of client warehouse stocks Compliance to Good Distribution Practice Guidelines, as well as MCC and SAPC requirements Updating and sharing of operation reports Implement and update systems and procedures for the control and security of the business To participate in stock takes and cycle counts To work within operating areas as determined by management and performing ADHOC duties as and when required to meet the needs of the business Manage daily shift operations including customer planning requirements Meet and exceed operational service levels and manage cost of labor Drive and develop team culture Delivery of Key Performance Indicators HR Issues – Managing Industrial Relations Implementation and support approaches to prepare and support individuals, teams, and leaders in making organizational changes that drives the business forward Quality Control Compliance to Standard Operating Procedures Monitoring stock counts i.e. Planning, Preparation and Physical counting of stock Team Building and Morale Management Maximize accuracy, productivity and space utilization Ensure daily and weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines are accomplished Effective Leadership and Management of the operational and administrative teams Manage Human Resource through management team, ensure appropriate levels of Human resources to meet business needs, performance issues, training and development, employee productivity and recruitment and retention of staff Compliance with statutory and company policies and procedures Through Management team ensure compliance with statutory and company policies on: Health and Safety Employment Equity Labor Relations Legislative Environmental Issues Including regular monitoring to ensure these areas are maintained at a high level of compliance Responsible for handling the correct pallets and documents Ensure accurate customer records are maintained and available as hard copies Compile the Delivery Report for the client daily Manage all cycle counts and stock takes Verify loaded pallets once checked by the checker Organize and collect stationery needed for the department and submit weekly consumable counts Check if loads are put away correctly by the RT Operators Verify and ensure accurate Proof of Deliveries (PODs) and pallet slips before sign-off Build relationships throughout the supply chain (e.g. outbound clerks, haulers, customers, depots, and customer service consultants) Conform and promote awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 22716, ISO 13485, and regulatory requirements associated with the Quality Management System (QMS) Full SAP movement management of RM for the client Provide leadership and manage the DHL logistics depot Control and utilize optimum levels of resources to provide clients with excellent service at the lowest cost Participate in stock takes and cycle counts.
