The Opportunity Port Of Newcastle Is Looking For Students To Participate In Our Aboriginal And/or Torres Strait Islander Internship Program Who Are Currently Completing Study In One Of The Below Areas (Certificate IV Or Higher)Work Health & Safety Project Management Human Resources IT or Cyber Security Administration Finance / Accounting Commerce Law / Legal Services Environment / Conservation Media & Communications Engineering ESG / Sustainability The Program IncludesValuable, real-world, work experience in your area of study Flexible working hours Mentoring by Port of Newcastle SMEs, relevant to your field of study Opportunity to contribute to Port of Newcastle’s Reconciliation Action Plan and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion working groups Attending networking and professional development events, as appropriate Days and times of work will be tailored to the successful candidate, with a minimum 152 hours of paid work being offered. What You Will Bring You must be completing full or part-time study in one of the above areas, as well as identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Your experience in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint will be essential, and you’ll need to be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Your effective communication skills, proactive initiative, and attention to detail will see you succeed in this role.
