Job Summary: The Accountant is responsible for accurately recording, analyzing, and reporting the company’s financial transactions. the Accountant will report to the Financial Controller,the role ensures compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations, supports audits, and provides timely financial reports to aid effective management decision-making.Key Responsabilities:Financial Record KeepingRecord all financial transactions accurately and daily in the accounting system.Maintain complete and organized financial documentation.2. ReportingPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.Provide analytical support to management for financial decision-making.3. Accounts Payable and ReceivableProcess supplier invoices, ensure timely payments, and manage outstanding balances.Prepare and issue customer invoices and follow up on collections.4. Bank ReconciliationPerform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.5. Tax and Compliance ManagementCompute and file statutory taxes (VAT, PAYE, RSSB, etc.) in accordance with Rwandan tax laws.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies.6. Budget and Cost ControlTrack expenditures against budgets and report variances to the Financial Controller.Support the preparation and monitoring of departmental and company budgets.7. Audit and Internal ControlsSupport both internal and external audits by providing required documentation.Ensure internal control systems are implemented and followed.8. Asset and Inventory AccountingMaintain up-to-date records of fixed assets and depreciation schedules.Support stock valuation and related financial reconciliations.Qualifications and ExperienceEducation:Bachelor’s degree (Bacc +3 or Bacc +4) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Master’s degree or professional certification ( CPA) is an added advantage.Experience:Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience.Experience in working with auditors and tax authorities preferred.Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent knowledge of Rwandan tax laws and accounting standards.High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Planning and OrganizationDaily: Transaction recording.Weekly/Monthly: Bank reconciliation, invoice management.Monthly/Quarterly: Financial reporting and tax declarations.Annually: Audit preparation and year-end closing.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Thank You !!!
