As a Medior Accountant at Ciner Glass Belgium, you will play a crucial role within the regional finance team, as well as a part of the international group. In this role, you will be involved with both accounting and management reporting processes. Additionally, this position plays a key role in fostering a data-driven culture, standardizing monthly reporting and focusing on actionable insights. Ready to find your 'Bottle Happiness' with us?Responsibilities & Key TasksFinancial Management and ReportingEstablishing and supporting an effective control system to safeguard financial information and operational data Developing and assisting with budgeting and management reporting processes, including annual budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and business plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reportsAccounting and Month-end ClosingSupport the implementation of relevant accounting policies, processes and controlsEnter financial information into relevant ledgers, accounting, and treasury systemsEnsure the integrity of financial data by accurate and timely entry and processing of transactionsPerform regular accounting reconciliations, including accounts receivable/payable, intercompany, bank, and credit card reconciliations. Identify and resolve discrepanciesParticipate in month-end closing processes, including manual journal entries, accruals, etcExecute and record paymentsBank ReconciliationsRegularly perform bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial dataIdentify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting recordsReporting & controllingProvide management information related to payments and invoicesAssist in preparing financial reports and statementsSupport the finance department with ad-hoc tasks and projectsProvide daily support by monitoring company cash flows and preparing and maintaining short-term cash flow reportsAssist during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditors’ questions in collaboration with the department headActively keep up to date with developments in the financial field and regulatory changesQualifications, Competences & ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field and an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)Knowledge of local VAT and corporate tax regulationsUnderstanding of accounting and treasury principles and practices, with familiarity in bank reconciliations and invoice managementKnowledge of month-end closing processes and familiarity with audit procedures and requirementsExperience in a manufacturing environment and proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP), BI tools such as Power BI, and other production-related software is a plusHands-on mentality to address challenges quickly and efficientlyEffective in building relationships with diverse stakeholders and clientsStrong communication skills (spoken and written in Dutch and English), time management, analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to adapt well to change; the location is in a start-up phase and continuously evolvingAbility to work under strict deadlines while managing multiple tasks and prioritiesWhy work at Ciner Glass?At Ciner Glass, you’ll have the opportunity to help build a brand-new, ultra-modern production site from the ground up.
