Our client, a well-established construction business based in Sydney, is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA-qualified professional with a strong background in the construction sector to step into a stable, long-term role with a reputable organisation.ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and detailed project reportingManage job costing, progress claims, subcontractor payments, retentions, and project cash flowProvide budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple construction projectsEnsure compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulatory requirementsOversee AP/AR, payroll processing, BAS/IAS submissions, and end-of-month processesLiaise with project managers, site teams, and senior leadership to deliver financial insightsSupport year-end audit processes and continuous improvement initiativesAbout You:CPA qualified (mandatory)Experience within the construction or infrastructure industryStrong knowledge of project accounting, job costing, and construction financial workflowsProficiency in accounting systems such as MYOB, Xero, or construction software (e.g., Jobpac, Cheops)Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to work independently and manage competing deadlinesWhy This Role?Competitive salary package: $110k-$130k + SuperOpportunity to join a respected construction business with a strong project pipelineSupportive environment with genuine career progression opportunitiesFor any questions relating to this role or other opportunities with D&B and our clients, please contact Ruby Verling on 0293768200 or click apply.
