In support of our strategic priority of Indigenous Australian success, Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islander people who are not QUT staff are also eligible and encouraged to apply.Who are we looking for?We are seeking a Regional Coordinator, China to join International, International and Business Development, Chancellery Division.Refer to the Position Description attached. Key responsibilities include: Provide input into the development of annual plans for China and the International Marketing and Recruitment Plan through analysis of regional data, reviewing travel reports, undertaking market intelligence research, and reviewing, analysing and consulting with relevant University staff and agencies/institutions. Organise and coordinate international marketing and promotional activities to increase Chinese international student enrolments in all programs offered in the University including participation in marketing events, recruitment presentations, and building regional business opportunities and knowledge. Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with the University’s partner institutions and recruiting agents, by organising, coordinating and attending events, exhibitions, conference and meetings. In conjunction with the Regional Manager, manage the University’s recruiting agents to ensure agents are appropriately trained and adequately informed on current University program offerings, admission and visa requirements and monitor and provide feedback where necessary on the agent’s performance. Represent QUT at recruitment missions, conduct visits and presentations to associated institutions and international agencies. Undertake domestic and international travel, sometimes at short notice. Maintain and up-to-date, in-depth knowledge of the target markets and identify opportunities to optimise efforts within the target markets. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the provision of high level client service. Undertake any other reasonable duties, tasks, or projects as directed by the Regional Manager and the Director, North Asia, in alignment with the objectives of the role and the team. The office also conducts appropriate marketing, research, promotions and communication activities for the purposes of recruitment.What You Need To Succeed Completion of a degree in Business, Marketing or Public Relations together with at least four years’ experience in an international marketing role or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and/or training. Demonstrated experience in developing and managing effective marketing activities from planning to implementation in an international environment including evidence of the use of market intelligence and research. Demonstrated high-level written communication skills and interpersonal skills, including the ability to clearly present, consult and liaise with stakeholders both internal and external, in a professional and culturally sensitive manner. Evidence of highly-developed organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage time and high volume tasks efficiently within competing deadlines. Demonstrated ability to collaborate positively and work effectively in a team environment, to ensure that a high level of client service focus is maintained.
