Cost Controller - Integrated Projects

We are focused on establishing a responsible, reliable and sustainable supply of energy to meet growing demands, with interests in various onshore and offshore projects in Australia, and we are a rapidly growing operator in the Perth Basin.MEPAU is committed to creating a workplace where you will be challenged, supported and developed to achieve your potential, whilst providing you with a rewarding career in an exciting industry.Description:We are seeking a mid-career Integrated Projects Cost Controller to grow our existing Project Services Team on a 2 year maximum term contract to provide holistic cost control guidance across the growing capital sustaining portfolio of projects and to extend support to all areas of the business.Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will:Apply of your cost control experience to the current portfolio of projects using approved cost control techniques.Communicate to the Project Controls Team and Project Manager early warning intelligence on Cost Control deviations to allow timely intervention and corrective measures.Manage cost control records including phased commitments, VOWD, accruals, forecast, budget, AFE and contingency.Assist in maintaining Dashboards for cost information, cost performance index, cost status and variance analysis.Maintain consistent cost reporting and align with established CBS and method statements.Manage cost information to support AFE and revisions and maintain AFE history records.Drive cost or assurance reviews and participate in any peer reviews.Collaborate with various team members to gather information which may impact the cost forecast information.Administer the Change Management requirements of the project cost.Be the focal point with Finance team requirements for monthly and budgetary purposes for assigned projects.Manage and track Purchase Orders.Skills and Experiences:Our successful candidate will be a team player with a high level of initiative and strong attention to detail. In return, we are offering a generous remuneration package and a positive working culture where a focus on safety, respect, collaboration, integrity, innovation and excellence drive how we do business.To be successful in this role, you will require the following skills and experience:Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is favourable but not essential.Demonstrate a sound understanding and demonstrated experience in cost controlling with various project types - offshore, onshore, decommissioning opportunities of differing size and complexities across all phases within hydrocarbon and new energy.Understanding estimating or demonstrated sound understanding of estimating is favourable.Understanding and exposure to of planning, qualitative and quantitative risk management.Experience in providing fit for purpose project controls across both portfolio and major capital projects.Experience working in EPCM or Contractor organisations.Experience with operators is favourable.Excellent understanding of cost control processes and associated cost systems/tools.Critical thinking, problem solving and strong analytical skills together with excellent oral and written communication skills.If you have the background we are seeking, please apply by COB Tuesday 2 December 2025.Please Note: Only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
