About the Organization:A large Canadian project-driven organization is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to support its finance function across multiple operating units. This role offers exposure to full-cycle accounting, project cost workflows, and cross-functional operations in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.About the Role:As an Accounting Coordinator, you’ll support daily financial operations, assist with month-end close, and maintain accurate project and operational financial records. You’ll work closely with project teams, operations leaders, and senior finance staff to ensure timely and reliable reporting.What You’ll Do:Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor transactions with accuracy and timelinessPrepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end working papersAssist with project cost tracking, coding, accruals, and basic variance analysisSupport payroll processing and employee expense submissionsMaintain organized financial documentation and uphold internal controlsRespond to vendor and internal inquiries, ensuring smooth information flowAssist with budget preparation, forecasting updates, and ad-hoc reporting needsSupport audit-related requests from internal and external auditorsCollaborate with operations teams to ensure financial data aligns with project activityContribute to process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiencyWhat You Bring:1–3 years of accounting experience (co-op/internship acceptable) in a fast-paced environmentDiploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldStrong understanding of basic accounting principles, reconciliations, and month-end tasksProficiency with Excel and comfort working with high volumes of dataStrong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlinesExcellent communication skills and a collaborative mindsetExperience in project-based, construction, field services, or operational accounting is an assetWhy Join:This role offers hands-on exposure to project accounting, mentorship from experienced finance professionals, and opportunities to grow within a dynamic, operations-focused organization.
