We are hiring: AccountantWe are looking for a detail-driven and experienced Accountant to support both our lodge and game farm operations.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & ComplianceYou will handle the full preparation of Annual Financial Statements in line with IFRS, compile and analyse Monthly Management Accounts, and manage all statutory submissions, including VAT (import VAT included), PAYE, SSC, and Training Levy. You will also coordinate the annual audit process.Operational AccountingYou will manage inventory and stock control for both lodge F&B/retail and game farming operations, reconcile multiple revenue streams (accommodation, activities, curio sales, game sales), and process all foreign currency transactions. Additional responsibilities include complex bank reconciliations and maintaining the Fixed Asset Register.Systems ManagementYou will serve as the senior user and administrator for Sage 100, ensuring accurate data flow between operational systems—such as the Property Management System (PMS)—and the accounting platform.Personal Requirements:The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with completed articles and 5–8 years of solid post-qualification experience in a fast-paced accounting environment. You should have strong IFRS expertise, advanced VAT knowledge (including Import VAT), and confidence working with Sage 100. Key strengths include preparing accurate monthly management accounts, handling foreign currency transactions, and performing complex bank reconciliations.You must also have proven experience with PAYE, SSC, and Training Levy submissions, ensuring full compliance with Namibian statutory requirements. This role suits a meticulous, detail-driven professional with excellent analytical skills and a strong sense of responsibility in financial reporting and compliance.Qualifications & Experience• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (NQF Level 7).• Professional: Completed Accounting Articles (non-negotiable).• Experience: 5–8 years in a similar accounting role. Experience in tourism/hospitality or agriculture/game farming is a strong advantage.• Technical: Strong IFRS and Namibian tax knowledge, with advanced proficiency in Sage 100.
