Our team is recognized for exceptional training, dedication, and a commitment to helping businesses function effectively and grow.Role Description:As an Accountant at V-TAC Accounting & Tax, you will play a key role in managing financial records, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Toronto, ON.Key Responsibilities:Manage full cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger, and month-end/year-end closing.Prepare and post journal entries, including adjusting and reversing entries.Reconcile all balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.Prepare accurate financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) per Canadian accounting standards.Prepare and file corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations.Maintain and update fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation.Prepare working papers and supporting documentation for audits.Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Liaise with clients and other stakeholders regarding accounting matters.Support payroll processing and government remittances as needed.Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in full cycle accounting, including corporate accounting.Minimum 5 years of experience working at an accounting firm.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and Canadian tax regulations.Experience with financial data analysis and reporting.Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced MS Excel skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.CPA certification is a plus.Experience in the financial services industry is beneficial.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.Supportive and collaborative work environment.V-TAC Accounting & Tax is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals.
