Accounting Compliance Associate

About the RoleWe are seeking an Accounting Compliance Associate to join our client's team in Jakarta. This is an on-site role where you will manage comprehensive accounting compliance activities, including VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), audit support, and finance-related statutory requirements. You'll play a critical role in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant reporting in accordance with Indonesian regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesExtract and analyze accounting data from client systems for VAT, WHT, and other compliance filingsPerform monthly VAT computations, reconciliations, and e-filing in line with Indonesian Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) requirementsCompute and process monthly Withholding Tax (PPh 21, 23, 26) and ensure accuracy of tax certificates (e-Bupot)Support audit processes by preparing schedules, working papers, and responding to auditor inquiriesEnsure accurate statutory bookkeeping and reconciliation aligned with PSAK standardsManage end-to-end statutory filings including SPT Masa and SPT Tahunan submissionsAssist with ad-hoc client requests related to tax or compliance mattersRequirementsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceExperience:1–3 years in accounting, compliance, or audit (preferably within Indonesia)Technical Skills:Strong understanding of Indonesian VAT and WHT regulations (PPN, PPh 21/23/26)Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelKnowledge of e-filing portals (e-Faktur, e-Bupot) is preferredLanguage:Fluent in Bahasa IndonesiaWorking proficiency in EnglishWhat We're Looking ForWe seek a detail-oriented professional with strong technical accounting knowledge and a commitment to compliance excellence.
