Every day, we strive for excellence through our willingness to adapt, learn, and our tenacity to overcome barriers, together.Opportunity OverviewFor our expanding international operations, Rhythm Pharmaceuticals is looking for two highly motivated candidates for the role of Accounts Payable Specialist.The Accounts Payable Specialist will be part of our Accounting and Controlling team and support the International Controller with operational accounts payable activities across our international subsidiaries.The role will be based in the Netherlands in our Amsterdam office and reports directly to the International Controller. The candidate should have knowledge and expertise in an international setting and a high-growth environment, bringing expertise and efficiency to our expanding financial operations.Responsibilities And DutiesExecution of all transactional Accounts Payable activities for Rhythm’s International subsidiaries.Enter vendor invoices in the ERP system.Follow up on business and vendor queries related to open invoices.Preparing internal controls for the International entities, including account reconciliations, AP overviews etc.Process Expense reports for our International business.Support VAT audit requestsOther finance tasks, as required.Support finance improvement projects.Support the International Controller with statutory accounting compliance related to Accounts Payable.Qualifications And SkillsAccounting degree relevant for the role.Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable in an international environment.Experience with pharmaceutical/ biotech industry is a plus.Knowledge and understanding of relevant VAT requirementsFluency in English; proficiency in additional European languages (German, French, or Italian preferred).Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and multi-task efficiently.Support international growth projects from a finance perspective.Good analytical skills and be able to proactively propose process improvements in the area.Excellent oral and written communication, strong interpersonal abilities, and a high level of ethics and integrity Hands-on mentality, adaptable to dynamic business needs.The role will be for 32 hours per week.Rhythm operates in a hybrid work environment. This role is based out of our international office in Amsterdam.
