With locations in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, we support our community through equipment sales and rentals, training, financing, and a full suite of technical services.We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Accounting team. This role plays an essential part in managing customer accounts, ensuring accurate application of payments, maintaining AR aging, and supporting credit and collections processes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-service oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Receive, process, and apply customer payments on a daily basisMaintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information and AR aging reportsConduct proactive follow-up with past due customers to support timely collections and improve Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)Determine customer credit limits and perform credit checks as neededSupport internal teams in resolving customer account inquiries, balances, credits, and disputesRespond to customer inquiries in a professional and timely mannerUpload invoices and statements to customer portals and platforms as requiredGenerate AR-related reports and assist in audit preparation as neededRequirements for the successful applicant:Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and prior work experience2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, or similar accounting support roleStrong understanding of basic accounting principles related to ARProficiency with Excel spreadsheets is a mustExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication and customer service skills (both written and verbal)Ability to manage priorities and follow up effectivelyProficiency with Excel spreadsheets is a mustExperience with accounting and Salesforce ERP systems; Experience with QuickBooks is a plusExperience in media, broadcast, entertainment, or equipment rentals is a plusCollections or credit review experience helpfulPhysical Effort:Prolonged periods of sitting at a computerAbility to use hands to operate keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipmentAbility to concentrate on detailed tasksOccasional lifting of light equipment, up to 10 lbs. (e.g., laptop, files)Location: Remote.
