Our team operates with precision, collaboration, and client-first values—taking businesses “under our wing” to help them rise.Position OverviewPhoenix Accounting is seeking a Part-Time or Seasonal CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) to assist with tax preparation, advisory, and client accounting projects during our busy season—with the opportunity to continue in an ongoing part-time role after tax season.The ideal candidate will not only support tax season work but also continue to assist with bookkeeping, payroll, tax strategy, and offer-in-compromise engagements throughout the year. This is a fully remote, flexible position offering an hourly rate plus performance-based incentive bonuses for service excellence and client conversions.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review individual (1040), business (1120/1120S/1065), and related tax returnsConduct year-end and quarterly reconciliations and financial reviewsProvide tax strategy planning and identify advisory opportunitiesAssist with bookkeeping and payroll management for assigned clientsSupport offer-in-compromise (OIC) cases and IRS communication as neededMaintain and manage workflows within TaxDome and Financial CentsCollaborate with the Phoenix Accounting team to ensure client satisfaction and accuracyUphold firm standards for professionalism, timeliness, and confidentialityQualificationsActive CPA or EA license (required)Minimum 3 years of tax preparation and review experienceProficiency with QuickBooks Online, TaxDome, and Financial CentsStrong understanding of tax law, compliance, and accounting principlesExcellent communication, organization, and time management skillsAbility to work independently in a remote environmentExperience with equine or small-business clients is a plusCompensation & SchedulePart-Time / Seasonal, Fully RemoteHourly rate based on experience (no per-return structure)Performance-based incentive bonuses for productivity and client successFlexible hours with the opportunity for continued part-time work post-tax seasonHow to ApplyPlease submit your resume, credentials, and a brief introduction outlining your experience and interest in the role to info@phoenixaccounting.net.Phoenix Accounting is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
