Job Description

Job DescriptionCoordinate and execute vessel boarding activities, including greeting incoming vessels, liaising with the captain and crew, and facilitating necessary arrangements for port operations. Ensure compliance with port regulations and safety protocols during vessel boarding and throughout the port call process. Collect and disseminate relevant information to the vessel crew regarding port procedures, berthing arrangements, cargo operations, and any other pertinent details. Assist in coordinating pilotage services, tugboat assistance, and mooring arrangements as required for safe vessel maneuvering in and out of the port.

Communicate effectively with port authorities, terminal operators, customs officials, and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate vessel services and resolve any operational issues that may arise. Monitor vessel movements and provide timely updates to internal teams and clients regarding the status of vessel operations. Maintain accurate records of vessel activities, port charges, and other relevant documentation in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Assist in coordinating cargo handling operations, including loading and discharging activities, to ensure efficient vessel turnaround times. ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional customer service to vessel captains, crew members, and clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.

Collaborate with the operations team to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhance the efficiency of vessel boarding and port call proceduresQualificationsAll port authorities, client, Ship, other internal departments within NoatumHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in maritime studies or related field is preferred. Previous experience in a maritime or shipping-related role is advantageous. Strong knowledge of port operations, maritime regulations, and safety protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vessel crew, port authorities, and other stakeholders.

Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by vessel schedules and operational needs. Proficiency in relevant computer applications and software used in vessel operations and communications. Written and spoken English is essential 4-6 years of Proven experience in shipping agency Good communication and positive attitude is a must
