AI&Data Engineer - Siemens Mobility China

For Mobility IT Department in APAC region, we are looking for AI&Data Engineer to work together with us.What are your responsibilities? Work with business teams to clarify and analyze data and analytics requirements, driving these into effective IT, data lake, or data warehouse solutions.Translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements and high-impact data solutions.Champion the deployment and adoption of the company’s Data Management Framework across departments, ensuring best practices in data governance, security, quality, and compliance are followed.Build, maintain, and improve data processing solutions, leveraging Python, SQL, and cloud data platforms (such as Azure or AWS).Have Strong SQL skills and experience working with data warehouses (Snowflake preferred) and Proficiency in Power BI dashboard development and report creation.Design, build, and maintain scalable end-to-end data pipelines and analytics or AI/ML models, ensuring data readiness and quality for AI initiatives.Implement and support high-quality data modeling, solution design, and system architecture.Deeply understand company data (distribution, structure, meaning), conduct analyses, and propose ideas for data-driven insights and predictive solutions.Evaluate, adopt, and integrate new analytics and AI technologies that offer competitive edge and support business objectives.Build robust quality assurance and data protection methodologies into all data solutions.Liaise with IT, data engineering, business intelligence, and project teams for seamless solution delivery and implementation activities.Monitor, supervise, and enhance system infrastructure to ensure sustained functionality and efficiency.Aid departments in leveraging technology to maximize business value.What do you need to qualify for this job? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.3+ years of relevant experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics projects.Extensive knowledge of analytics systems, especially cloud data platforms (Azure/AWS) and reporting tools (Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau).Strong data analytical skills to identify key business drivers and trends.Proficiency in Python, SQL, and other programming languages as needed.Hands-on experience in building data pipelines, data modeling, and implementing AI/ML solutions in business contexts.Basic understanding of software development principles, algorithm design, and coding best practices.Familiarity with data management frameworks and standards, including data governance, data quality, and metadata management.Strong understanding of data readiness requirements for AI initiatives.Excellent communication (oral and written, in English), teamwork, and presentation skills to effectively interact with global and regional teams.Experience with quality assurance, data protection, and compliance methodologies.Ability to discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies as needed.Demonstrated ability to deliver projects as part of a collaborative team.Soft Skills:Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Self-motivated professional with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Highly detail-oriented, with an emphasis on continuous process improvement.
