AI-Native BD (Business Development) Team Lead

Job Description.AI Revenue Ownership: Lead the complete lifecycle of AI MaaS opportunities in international markets - from lead generation and qualification through solution design, commercial negotiation, and deal closure - to drive sustained growth in token consumption and revenue.Market & GTM Strategy Support: Monitor and analyze GenAI trends (including foundation models, AI agents, infrastructure developments, and competitor activities), translate customer insights into customized solutions, and collaborate with product and marketing teams to shape effective go-to-market strategies.Strategic Account Management: Develop trusted advisor relationships with C-level executives and technical decision-makers at AI-focused local companies to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and strategic account expansion.AI Use Case Co-Creation: Understand clients' AI objectives and business challenges through in-depth consultation, jointly identify high-impact AI opportunities, articulate the value of Alibaba Cloud's large models in business-relevant terms, and co-develop practical solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with AI solutions, product development, and marketing teams to design compelling value propositions, and lead technical workshops, product demonstrations, and strategic campaigns that build credibility and accelerate market adoption.Job Requirement.Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Business, or related fields. Master’s or MBA preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, pre-sales, technical operations, or product operations within the AI, cloud, or software industry, with a track record of proven results. Experience at AI-native companies or major cloud providers is a plus.Demonstrates a deep understanding of Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) business models and the ability to articulate clear value propositions, along with expertise in Generative AI (GenAI) market dynamics and cross-vertical use cases.Actively utilizes leading large language models (LLMs) and multimodal models in daily work. Keeps up-to-date with the latest advancements in models, agent frameworks, and industry trends. Familiarity with prompt engineering and "vibe coding" is a plus.Demonstrated ability to guide clients from proof of concept (POC) to production, covering discovery, solution fit, pricing, and contracting, while collaborating closely with solution architects and product teams.
