Job DescriptionThe Sales Manager, Biopharma & Academia will lead and expand the biopharma and academic customer segment in South Korea. This role is responsible for driving sustainable growth by building a high-performing sales team, deepening customer engagement, and executing focused go-to-market strategies in rapidly growing segments.The District Manager will play a critical role in executing Agilent’s commercial strategy and reinforcing our leadership in the pharma market.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness & Growth LeadershipOwn and drive revenue growth for the Biopharma & Academia segment, with a clear target growthDevelop and execute segment-specific sales strategies aligned with market trends, government R&D funding, and customer prioritiesIdentify growth opportunities in key accounts, emerging customers, and new applicationsTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop a team of Sales District Managers / Account ManagersSet clear performance expectations, KPIs, and territory/account strategiesFoster a strong performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementCustomer & Market EngagementBuild strong executive-level relationships with key biopharma companies and academic institutionsAct as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their scientific, regulatory, and operational needsPartner closely with Application, Service, and Marketing teams to deliver integrated customer solutionsForecasting & Execution ExcellenceOwn accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and deal executionEnsure disciplined use of CRM, opportunity management, and sales processesProvide regular business updates, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadershipQualificationsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)10+ years of sales experience in life sciences, analytical instruments, or related industriesProven track record of driving double-digit growth in complex B2B environmentsDemonstrated people management experience with strong coaching and leadership capabilitiesFamiliarity with key biopharma customer segments, including large pharma, biotech startups, CDMOs, and academic research institutionsAwareness of market trends, including government-funded R&D, innovation pipelines, and emerging modalities, and their implications for sales strategyExperience selling into biopharma and academic customers with complex decision-making processesStrong strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and execution skillsExcellent communication skills in Korean and EnglishAdditional DetailsThis job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
