The direct application link can be found at[https://apply.workable.com/lead-for-america/j/16E78B1B43/](https://apply.workable.com/lead-for-america/j/16E78B1B43/){target="_blank"rel="noopener noreferrer"} GENERAL DESCRIPTION The AmeriCorps (ACC) Leadfor America Member will support Digital Navigation & WorkforceDevelopment Projects that provide digital skills training and outreachto improve internet adoption and workforce opportunities in ruralcommunities across Berkshire County. The projects aim to build theconfidence and skills of adults of all ages and abilities across ourregion to use computers and the internet. The Member will be part of abroad, national cohort of AmeriCorps Members while experiencing thespecific workings of a vibrant and diverse regional planning agency.This is a full-time, temporary position with benefits provided byAmeriCorps. Core work hours (9:00 or 10:00 am to 5:00 or 6:00 pm) mustbe covered every workday unless otherwise agreed. Full-time staff mustwork a minimum of 35 hours per week, with occasional weekends and nightmeetings as required; AmeriCorps requires ACC Members to complete 1,700hours annually. At the host site (BRPC), the position reports to BRPC\'sSenior Economic Development Planner. There are also regular check-insand evaluations with ACC\'s Program Coordinator. PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES - Learn to deliver digital skills information to adultsof all ages and abilities using trusted curricula materials. - Helprecruit adult learners for digital skills presentations, workshops,and/or classes. - Prepare, rehearse, teach, and document participants\'responses to digital skills presentations, workshops, and/or classes. -Gather data and write brief reports using a funder-created template(twice yearly) to share progress and outcomes related to digital skillsand engagement experiences. - As-requested (varies by location) provide1:1 tech support to residents at libraries and Councils of Aging, and/orhousing authorities. - Engage respectfully and productively with townleaders, such as town managers and Council on Aging, housing authority,And Library Directors And Staff. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES -Participate in weekly supervision with BRPC Senior Economic DevelopmentPlanner to share progress and troubleshoot challenges related to digitalskill teaching and engagement experiences. - Participate in bi-weekly,1-hour BRPC agency staff meetings and make 1-2 annual presentations(10-15 minutes each) to share the AmeriCorps experience with fellowstaff. - As time allows, help research and write grants to ensure thesustainability of digital skills programs throughout the county.
