Working within an entrepreneurial team, the successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the team’s success from day one, be given opportunities to grow and to learn the executive search business and key client service skills from working closely with a seasoned team.Wellesley only works with market leading financial services firms across the region. Therefore, we are most interested in those individuals who match our core principles of a commitment to quality and excellence in providing a true value-added service as industry advisors, and people who hold themselves highly accountable to deliver on one of our clients' most significant challenges: recruiting the best talent.This role will focus on all aspects of research and competitor/market intelligence gathering, project management and mandate execution, in addition to playing an important role with the alternative investment team’s marketing efforts. Role / Responsibilities Support the Financial Services team in all phases of search execution including - Sourcing (creating a job description, researching and mapping candidate pools, profiling candidates, reaching out to candidates for fit and interest, logistics), Screening (candidate assessment, screening for skills and cultural fit, writing up notes, and being responsible for follow up), Execution (presenting candidates to the client, discussing fit, managing the process of interview stages, negotiating offer terms and facilitating acceptances)Develop and maintain relationships in the financial services community to assist prequalifying candidates, and to support business developmentSupport the regional Financial Services team in all phases of marketing and business development, from researching prospects, making marketing outreaches and setting up meetings Requirements Bachelor's degree from a well-regarded university, and track record of intellectual curiosity1-6 years of full time, post-college work experience, preferably with experience in an executive search firm, financial services, strategy consulting or a well-respected professional services firm, with a track record of professional successStrong interest in or curiosity about a career focused on all aspects of human capital Knowledge of the financial services is a bonus but not necessarily required; a demonstrated interest in the financial services world is necessaryMaturity and ability to connect easily with people (candidates, clients, colleagues) and natural relationship management instincts; likely to be viewed a ‘matchmaker’ by peers, with the ability to show empathy and understand peoples’ real driversClient service orientation, with sensitivity to soft attributes such as cultural fitAbility to be resourceful, entrepreneurial and creative, and to shape the role and offer suggestions Asian language capabilities preferred
