Organizational ContextThe International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world’s largest humanitarian organization, with a network of 191-member National Societies (NSs). IFRC also adheres to strict child safeguarding principles.Job PurposeThe Digital Investment & Performance Analyst plays a critical role in shaping and optimizing IFRC’s global digital investment portfolio.This position ensures that digital initiatives — including ERP, digital products, platforms, and services — deliver tangible value, demonstrate financial efficiency, and align with strategic objectives.The incumbent drives insight generation and performance analysis across the digital portfolio, guiding leadership decisions on prioritization, resource allocation, supplier management, and business value realization.The position holder acts as a trusted business advisor within DTD, connecting financial intelligence, data analytics, and strategic foresight to help the organization maximize its digital return on investment.Job Duties And Responsibilities Drive Portfolio Performance and Value RealizationLead the analysis and reporting of digital product and service performance, linking cost, value, and business outcomes across IFRC’s global digital portfolio.Define and track value realization indicators for key digital investments (e.g., ERP, data platforms, digital humanitarian services).Translate financial and operational data into actionable insights that inform strategic and investment decisions.Support post-implementation reviews and performance monitoring of major digital initiatives, identifying opportunities for optimization, rationalization, or reinvestment. Optimize Digital Investment and Financial PerformanceProvide financial intelligence on digital expenditure across business lines, geographies, and service categories.Identify trends, inefficiencies, and savings opportunities to support evidence-based decision-making on sourcing, vendor strategy, and total cost of ownership.Support DTD’s annual planning, budgeting, and resourcing processes, ensuring alignment between investment priorities and organizational goals.Develop dashboards and analytics to monitor portfolio health, value creation, and budget utilization. Strengthen Vendor and Partnership ValueContribute to the negotiation and management of global technology agreements, ensuring financial and strategic benefits for IFRC and its membership.Collaborate with procurement and service teams to assess supplier performance, renewals, and contract optimization.Provide benchmarking and market intelligence to strengthen IFRC’s sourcing strategy and vendor management practices. Support Data-Driven Governance and Decision-MakingContribute to the continuous improvement of IFRC’s digital portfolio management framework, integrating financial metrics, risk indicators, and performance analytics.Ensure transparent, data-driven communication with senior stakeholders and governance bodies.Act as a focal point for portfolio data integrity and the use of business intelligence tools within the Planning Unit. Enable Organizational Impact and CollaborationCollaborate across DTD units (Digital, Data, Service) and regional teams to link product performance with organizational outcomes.Partner with divisions and National Societies to build a shared understanding of digital value creation and investment performance.Participate in internal and external communities of practice on digital performance management, innovation financing, and governanceJob Duties And Responsibilities (continued) Contribute to the building of an effective, high-quality, fit-for-purpose Digital Transformation DepartmentCollaborate effectively with Secretariat’s Divisions’ and DTD colleagues to fulfil key responsibilities and to ensure the successful delivery of key deliverables to ensure the effective delivery of objectives pertaining to the IFRC DT strategy, Agenda for Renewal and Strategy 2030.Ensures effective communication and feedback flows with relevant stakeholders, creating a working environment with stakeholders that creates understanding and acceptance of decisions.Act as resource and contact person on global technology providers and framework agreements for Membership.
