Anew Era TMS, part of the DiscoveryMD professional psychiatric division, prides itself with its close culture and clinical excellence, while focusing on helping patients sustain their mental health wellness goals and bringing a new sense of hope to those who are suffering. This position is located at our Long Beach, CA outpatient TMS & Psychiatry facility. Compensation Range: $19-$26. Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience.

Continuing education (CE) programs and training Weekly training opportunities Advancement opportunities within the organizationResponsibilitiesJob DescriptionResponsible for initial patient consultations to evaluate the patient and concisely document findings while also educating patients about their treatment optionsEducates patients about treatment details across all PPS service lines and the patient care plan prior to treatment and concurrently as appropriate during treatmentConsult with clinicians in all service lines to identify patient needs and navigate identified patients into all medically necessary service lines.

Successful completion of TMS Certification (internal training and certification provided during the initial period of employment)Friendly demeanor and excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team. Ability to work unattended with the patient in the office. Adapts to changes in work environment and accurately performs consultative services as directed by medical and clinical staff. Maintains accurate and descriptive medical and clinical documentation, making sure documentation is legible and concise. Demonstrates knowledge of medical records, authorization forms, laboratory requisitions. Recognizes and follows through appropriately with consultative intervention.

Establishes priorities, assess workload, and determine order of importance daily with minimal guidance to assist patients and prospective patients navigate and identify medically necessary service lines based on medical and clinical recommendations. Obtains and documents patient's information for insurance authorizations and fee agreements. Answers telephone in an appropriate and professional manner, takes accurate messages and promptly relays messages to appropriate individuals. Responsible for ensuring patient’s treatment is rendered during approved authorization periodProvide excellent and compassionate patient care to create top level patient experiences while providing accurate treatment.

Serve as liaison between care providers and patientsUse of an Electronic Health RecordBuild trust and rapport with individuals in order to improve patient careUtilize clinical information and knowledge of medical necessity criteria to effectively communicate plans of care to insurance case managers, facility staff, and healthcare partnersRefer clients based on eligibility to TMS treatments, while also identifying the potential need per individual clientPrepare and discuss any financial obligations and insurance coverage with clients as it pertains to TMS or other services provided by organizationTreating patients with our TMS system who are suffering from mental illnessFull time, in-person role M-F and some Saturdays Hire must be willing to work flexible hours between 6am-7pmFor a virtual tour of the facility, please visit our website at aneweratms.

comQualificationsAssociates Required, Bachelor’s degree preferredMedical, beauty, and/or cosmetic surgery consultant in sales industry experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills 2 years minimum. Mental health experience preferred. Organization skills, detail oriented, and multitasking skills. Not sure if you meet all the qualifications?
