Application Specialist – Apparel

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Handle both internal & external customer technical service requests.Become knowledgeable of assembly techniques and testing protocols for each application.Provide technical support to factories and brands including assist customers in solving problems and offer product and process training.Solve problems associated with assignments by proposing innovative ideas and approaches.Recommend fabrication methods to help customers build new features in their product line.Stay informed of different assembly equipment, understand their capabilities and evaluate its possible use in our applications.Prepare documents explaining step by step assembly techniques for specific applications.Perform application testing, analyze results and write clear reports outlining findings, make recommendations on best product and processing parameters for the application. Prepare and make presentations to brands on assembly techniques and testing.Requirements:Associate degree in technical field is preferred.5+ years of experience in a technical position focusing on assembly of garments.Experience in conducting technical training & trouble shooting with quick response time is highly favored.Must be willing to work on machines when in the laboratory, with factory experience and good machinery knowledge (sewing/bonding/seam sealing).With brand experience and/or knowledge of pattern making/bonding technology is a plus.An independent, detail oriented & quick learner with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Fluent listening/written/spoken English and Vietnamese.Ability to travel up to 70% including international business trips.Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
