- Initial contract until end of June 2026 with possible extension paying approx. $1k/day- Brisbane City Fringe Location with flexibility to WFH 2 days per week- Seasoned Applications Implementation Project Manager requiredOur client, a large complex organisation within the Education sector, are currently seeking an Applications Project Manager for their Studyfinder Replacement and Curriculum Uplift Projects.Responsibilities of the role:Project management services to mobilise, scope, define, deliver and close the project end-to-end.Accountable for the on-time delivery and closure of the project in accordance with the organisations Project Delivery Framework:Adherence to Project Delivery Framework in all aspects of project definition and delivery. Where uncertainty or gaps exist then adherence to the advice provided by the PMO.Supporting the establishment and operation of a Project Steering Group for each project.Project status, health and performance reportingProject mobilisation, scoping and definition. Development of project approaches, estimates, plan and schedule.Where required preparation of a Project Brief and the securing of Project Steering Group approval.Preparation of the Project Initiation Document (PID) and securing Project Steering Group approval.Delivery of projects in accordance with the approved Project Initiation Document (PID)Project management of post go-live support and orderly closure of the project in accordance with the approved PID.Closure of the projects.Identification and engagement of stakeholders and additional resources required to support performance of the above.Any other project management activities that are agreed with the Project Steering Group as required to ensure the successful delivery of the projects.The resource will be required to adhere to the requirements of the organisations project management, testing, change management and software development frameworks, standards and lifecycles in the delivery of the various artefactsProject management of the delivery of the project in accordance with the approved PID.Skills and experience required:Proven track record as a Project Manager implementing large complex system implementation solutions (ideally in a tertiarty education environment)Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to think strategically while handling detailed execution challengesFlexibility to adapt to changing requirements and priorities in a dynamic work environmentProven ability to lead and manage teams and vendors to deliver required outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgetProven track record of successful project and/or project delivery, using PRINCE2, and traditional and hybrid Waterfall and Agile methodologiesAbility to handle pressure, make decisions and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-stakes environmentTo submit your application, in strict confidence, please submit your resume in Word Format using the appropriate link quoting reference No. 247191.  Should you require further information please email kristy.coulter@hudson.com Your interest will be treated in the strictest of confidence.Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at HudsonHudson is committed to helping you find a workplace where you feel respected, supported, and free to thrive.
