This role involves designing, reviewing, and overseeing the architectural aspects of construction projects to ensure functionality, aesthetics, and compliance with building codes. The successful candidate will work closely with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable, and cost-effective project designs.MAIN TASKSDevelop and review architectural designs, drawings, and specifications in accordance with project objectives.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate architectural and engineering systems effectively.Ensure architectural designs meet regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with approved designs.Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical and design issues.Prepare design documentation and presentation materials for internal and client reviews.Ensure design quality control and maintain project documentation standards.Advise on material selection and sustainable design solutions.Assist in value engineering and cost optimisation during design and construction phases.Stay updated with local and international design codes and emerging architectural technologies.EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONSQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural design and construction supervision.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design tools.Comprehensive understanding of UAE building regulations and design approval processes.Strong coordination and project management skills.DesirableMaster’s degree in Architecture or Urban Design.Membership with a recognised architectural association (e.g., RIBA, AIA, SOE).Experience in sustainable design, LEED, or Estidama compliance projects.COMPETENCIESStrong creative and technical design skills.Attention to detail and design precision.Excellent communication and presentation abilities.Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.Proficiency in project documentation and coordination.Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
