The firm is recognised for its commitment to architectural excellence and cultural sensitivity.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site position for the role of Architectural Manager, based in Central Singapore. As an Architectural Manager, you will work closely with the Managing-Director, overseeing architectural projects from concept to completion, including leading project teams, managing schedules, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs. You will take an active role in mentoring team members and ensuring successful project execution within set timelines and budgets.Tasks and Responsibilities:The successful candidate will report to and collaborate closely with the Directors of studioMilou studioMilou Singapore and Vietnam to efficiently manage the following responsibilities:Scheduling and Day-to-Day Management:Oversee the design planning, scheduling, and activities of the SMV architectural team, including the preparation of design proposals.Coordinate the team’s tasks to ensure optimal efficiency and organization, track timesheets, and monitor application progress.Report any staff-related issues to the Directors.Organize and conduct annual staff performance reviews in coordination with the Directors.Manage and improve the architectural documentation system at SMV, utilizing the studio’s internal platform.Track project spending and invoicing in collaboration with the studio administrator.Client Relations:Foster and maintain strong, positive client relationships at all times.Issue design drawings and specifications to clients and other stakeholders as required.Manage contract preparation and consult with clients to finalise agreements.Applications and Regulatory Tasks:Prepare and submit applications and design schedules for client approval.Review conceptual, basic, and detailed design drawings and specifications.Develop and review building permit application drawings and specifications.Ensure smooth coordination with government authorities, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure proper execution based on drawings.Negotiate contractual terms and fees, as needed, with authorities, architects, or consultants.Reporting:Prepare and submit weekly reports using the company’s template for submission to the Directors.Candidate Profile and Qualifications:Singaporean citizenship, PR status or holder of a valid workpassProficient in English (intermediate to advanced).Master’s degree in Architecture (experience in an international design firm is an advantage).Experience working on adaptive reuse or large-scale cultural projects is highly valued.10+ years of experience in a reputable design firm as a practising architect.Strong understanding of detailed construction drawings, structures, and design and construction regulations.Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Lumion, Enscape, Microsoft Office, 3D Max, and SketchUp.Creative, dynamic, self-motivated, and responsible with a strong sense of accountability.Holder of an Architecture Design Certificate.Please submit your application to the HR Manager before 7 December 2025: studio@studiomilou.sg
