Position Title - Area Sales Manager-General Trade (Appliance)Location – Mumbai (Will be accountable for the entire Mumbai + Thane + Upcountry) Total Experience - 5 to 12 Years (Minimum in Similar Role)Qualification - MBA (Full Time is compulsory)Report to the Branch Sales ManagerDirect Reporting - Yes (4 to 6 On Roll Employees approx.)Languages Known- English & Hindi & Marathi (Preferred) Industry- FMCD/Consumer Durable/Electrical & FMCGKey Responsibilities-SalesGive sales plan category/product/channel wise- per month after discussion with key distributors and dealersDaily tracking of sales plan, expectation vs. reality, and billing (value achievement of every channel)Tracking and updating Daily Sales ReportEnsuring Product Mix in the sales and indenting for productsEnsuring new products and launches are communicated to the market and the launches are happening on timeMonitoring Competitors' activity in the MarketMonitoring effective use of POP materials along with Co’s products prominently displayed at all retail shopsEnsure Company objectives are being fulfilled in a month and cascade the same to team members: working with Field Force in MarketProvide effective customer serviceIdentifying new distributors and markets to start or develop new markets/territories and understand why the brand is not availableEnsuring new channel mix in the portfolio to reduce dependency on distributorsCoordinating with the depot/logistics on a day-to-day basis to get the right product mix and dispatch goods to respective towns/distributors.Cost Control Control on outstanding’s: tracking payments/outstanding’s from channel partnersEnsuring timely payment from Distributors as per the stipulated time given to them.Promotional ActivitiesMonitoring Schemes in Retail Trade and Distributors.Monitoring and implementing promotional activities from time to timeMonitoring competitor activity and reporting the sameAddressing and resolving issues from the dealer/distributor point of view.Subordinate DevelopmentProviding on-the-job training to subordinates.Remark-Good Communication Skills & clarity of thought in terms of the Sales Process.Looking for a stable candidate (Frequent job changes will be not considered)Strong Exposure to Channel Sales is compulsory. Team Handling is compulsory (Compulsory to handle on on-roll team only)Strong data analytical skills (Working knowledge of Excel is essential)Willingness to travel a minimum of 4 to 5 daysCandidates should have handled a minimum business of 15 Crs PA & above will be considered Candidates with only a 30 to 45-day notice period will be considered.
