The 2025-26 NFL season has been one to forget for the Arizona Cardinals. A 41-22 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday dropped Arizona to 3-7 on the season and has it headed toward another season below .500. There was, though, a bit of a bright spot in Sunday's loss. Veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett set an NFL record that will be tough to match in the future. Before Sunday, the previous record for completions in a game was 45, held by both Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff. Ben Roethlisberger also completed 47 passes in a game, but it came in a postseason game, making it ineligible to qualify for history.
