Browns' Myles Garrett claims another spot in NFL record book

If he can remain healthy for the rest of the year, he will need to average just one sack per week to break the single-season record of 21.5 sacks that is held by both Michael Strahan (2001) and T.J Watt (2021). If opposing teams can't find a way to slow Garrett down, he could claim the single-season sack record a lot sooner than Week 18. Of Garrett's 15 sacks, 10 have come in Cleveland's last three games. He had five sacks in the Browns' 32-12 loss to the New England Patriots on Oct. 26. There is a reason only two players since 1982 have managed to get to 22.5 sacks. It would not exactly be shocking if Garrett experienced a drought down the stretch and came up short, especially as more teams start using double- and triple-teams to slow him down. But if Garrett can get to a speedy quarterback like Jackson and drag him down four times in one game, Cleveland's future opponents had better adjust their game plans accordingly.
