Job Description

Join us as Kruger’s first dedicated AI Specialist—a hands-on, cross-functional role building AI solutions for both manufacturing operations and enterprise Generative AI (GenAI) use cases. You’ll design, develop, and deploy AI models and applications in a Microsoft Azure and Fabric environment, shaping how AI is adopted across the business.What You’ll DoIndustrial AIBuild and deploy AI/ML models for manufacturing KPIs such as predictive maintenance, process optimization, yield improvement, and quality prediction.Integrate AI into ISA-95-based architectures, MES, SCADA, and historian systems.Design solutions leveraging time-series data, sensor readings, and process control logic.Work directly with process engineers and continuous improvement teams to validate and refine models on the shop floor.Embed AI insights into Microsoft Fabric pipelines, Azure Synapse, and Power BI dashboards.Generative AI & AutomationDevelop GenAI assistants and copilots to improve workflows in HR, Finance, Engineering, and Operations.Build LLM-powered applications using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt chaining, and fine-tuning.Implement agentic AI workflows for automated document routing, task triage, and intelligent recommendations.Combine reasoning, data querying, and task execution in multi-step AI pipelines.Infrastructure & MLOpsDesign scalable, reusable machine learning pipelines using Azure ML, Databricks, and Fabric notebooks.Set up robust model governance (drift monitoring, explainability, lineage tracking).Deploy models using CI/CD for AI, model registries, and Azure Containers.Evaluate and integrate third-party AI tools, LLM platforms, and vendor solutions.Collaboration & EnablementPartner with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI use cases with measurable ROI.Create internal demos, documentation, and training materials to promote AI adoption across departments.Contribute to shaping the company’s AI roadmap alongside the VP Data & AI.What You Bring5+ years in ML, data science, or AI engineering with production deployment experience.Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks (Scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, TensorFlow).Hands-on with Azure ML, Fabric, Synapse, and MLOps tooling.Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol), agentic AI, vector databases, and embedding search.Bonus: Industrial AI experience, ISA-95 knowledge, or LLM orchestration tools (LangChain, Semantic Kernel).Why Join UsBe the founding AI specialist in a modern, data-first manufacturing enterprise.Work across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, HR, and engineering datasets.Access top-tier AI tools and platforms, including Microsoft Fabric and Azure AI.Help shape a high-performance, human-centered AI culture from the ground up.
